So the light in this shot apparently gives a pretty good idea of how my beard will look when it begins to grey. Let it also be noted that today was officially nine weeks of uninhibited facial hair growth.

I'm digging that whole "one with the trees" thing... Very Okonokos of you to do. Beautiful.

Bad news... I shaved a couple of days ago. It had to be done, my coverage isn't as "complete" feeling as yours is. Your beard is what mine inspires itself to be, but fails miserably. I'll never be able to condition my beard to be as beautiful... You have a gift, my friend. Cherish it.

Hello Peoples :)  I'm new to the site and didn't see anywhere specific to start an introduction thread so I thought I'd say hello here.  This is me, my name is Bridgett.

I'm getting into the okonokos spirit - I've started working on my bear mask for the Louisville show.  Inspired by the original "Wicker Man."  Obviously, it still needs work, and then some paint.  This is my first foray into the world of papier mache.

Nice!  If I could do the special effects I would love to be "A man" with my arms ripped off and maybe a big gash or two taken out of my skull, lots of blood. :)
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

That reminds me... I found a source that sells various style top hats and bowler hats for a pretty decent price. I may have to rock out with a top hat one of these days.

New picture of me taken the day after the best night of my life. The night I saw Ryan Adams & the Cardinals live for the second time. I was so happy then. Now it's only MMJ left. Wonder when that day will come? ::)

I'd say $30 is a pretty decent price for what appears to be a "real hat" and not a party hat made in China or someplace... I might decide to pick one of these up, but I really can't figure out which I'd go with. Bowler/Derby or Tophat, hmmmmm.

go for the tophat  :D

tomEisenbraun

hmmm, i may have to pick me up a bowler. I think i'd be downright silly in a tophat.

Are you in Louisville?  If so you can usualy find cool hats the Unique Thrift Store on Preston.  I've bought several vintage ladies hats there for around $3 and I've seen mens hats as well though I've never looked to closely :)  Also Nitty Gritty on Baxter has cool hats for decent prices.

HAHA, Tom that is seriously such a good look!!!
BTW, has Tommy contacted you about being his look-a-like stand in yet? If he hasn't you know you're gonna get that call!
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

megisnotreal

Kudos, Tom.

Seriously.

Look-a-like stand-in or source of inspiration? I don't mean to be mean about it, but I think I've actually got more beard than he does.
