It's a three-foot dryhopper that attaches directly to a tap.  They're going to be dry-hopping Shafly APA with Cascade whole leaf hops!  My mouth is already watering!

Wooooow.  That is AMAZING!  I have never heard of anything like it.  Full report tomorrow, please!

Crazylove brought 3 new species home to me from her recent southern adventure this weekend. Magic Hat HI.P.A. from Burlington, VT, Yazoo Pale Ale out of Nashville, TN, and some Buffalo Bill's Orange Blossom Cream Ale from Pyramid Breweries located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I am actually hankerin' for a taste of that orange over the others because methinks it will prove to be so much diff. than what I am used to.
Dylan: full report is required! Is that stack full time or just making a guest appearance at one of your local watering holes? If it is full time we are def. gonna' make that trip next time I come down!

Brickskellar in DC has one. I think Peculiar Pub in NYC has one as well.

It was really good.  They gave us a sample of the beer before and a pint of it after and we got to keep the glass from Schlafly.  Surprisingly, the what-have-you made beer a lot smoother and much tastier. The thing it improved the most though was the aroma, it smelt like freshly ground hops (I LOVE that smell) Good, good stuff!

TEO: it makes appearances at a number of bars in the area who are all under the same management.  Brendan's, Flanigans, and O'Sheas for local folks.  I can ask the promo people for a schedule of appearances.

That sounds so cool.  I sent the link to my dad - he brews his own beer, grows his own hops, etc...I think he's really gonna dig it.  Thanks for posting!!  Glad you had a good time.

I didn't see anything on the schedule near the Chicago area - do you think they get up this way?

Chillin in my fridge right now. I've only had Honey Brown from Dundee and I like it. Cannot wait to try the others. 2 each of Pale Bock, Porter, Wheat, Honey Brown, Pale Ale, and IPA.

Verdict on Dundee- They know the stuff. The Pale Dock is delicious. The PA is great, a little on the hoppier side then most pale ales. The Porter is delicious. Malty and stuff. IPA is good. Honey Brown is yum.

and mike is drunk.

Just spent $57 on New Glarus beer last week, and today found my La Binchoise Grande Reserve that I thought I might never have again!  Spent $75 on 2 4 packs, a 750 mL bottle, a bottle of Barenjaeger honey liquor, and a 12 pack of Coke to mix with my cherry rum.  Saw Mason Jennings last night and proceeded to get hammered.  My buddy literally ripped my shirt off trying to tackle me after I pushed him in the snow.  It snowed out so I kept trying to take him down with a sliding sweep kick, and I ended up all bloody from sliding on the pavement.  Going to see William E Whitmore in a few.  Cheers!
We could.

The barleywine at the brewpub restaurant I worked at a year or so ago had a barleywine seasonal. It was 10.7% alcohol and delicious. What % is the Sierra? How muc is a case of it?

Picked up a six of Hopslam today.  Apparently, 98% of what the store purchased sold in about an hour.  When I asked about it today, my friendly beer guy said that he had stashed a few in the back.   :)  So, my 6 will have to be consumed with care...might be the last of it for a little while.

NoVa_NoLa

PS...Also can recommend Lost Coast Brewery's Indica Pale Ale.  It's not overly hoppy and has a citrus-y sweet tinge.  This one didn't knock my socks off, but it's definitely good!!

Aw, I miss New Glarus.  I can't get it here.  Looking forward to a delicious Spotted Cow or Fat Squirrel when I'm in Milwaukee Wednesday night!
