Not just Mater juice, but Clamato!

QuoteI am drinking Miller Lite right now. :-/

I've gotta say, I'm a big fan of Miller Lite. Definitely my favorite light domestic...if I'm going to be out on the river, in 100+ degree heat all day, and I want to start drinking at/before midday, there's no other beer for me. Miller Lite days have been some of my best. Top 10 beer for me.  I know it's not one of the 10 best tasting, or 10 headiest brews, but it serves a specific purpose like no other beer can for me. A long, gradual, all-day Miller Lite buzz sounds pretty good right about now, come to think of it.  8-)

Cheers to you, Miller Lite drinker. Drink it with pride.  [smiley=beer.gif]

Thanks, bbill.  I love micros just like the next guy, but Miller Lite is definitely my 'water beer'.  I shall now lift my Sunday Miller Lite bottle without shame.

Quoteewww. It's at least better then Bud Light, Bud Light Lime (seriously that shit is disgusting), Coors Light. It's no Strohs or Meister Brau but it will work if that's all you got.

At least it's not this.

WTF is that?!

..and yes, I have unfortunately tasted Bud Light Lime. Tastes like Trix cereal

That was a huge oversight on my part.  Beer, tomato juice, AND clam broth... What could go wrong?

;D ;D ;D  This is priceless.  Where can I try one of those?  Seriously?  I'm curious

I do agree about the Miller Lite.  I'm a lighter, crisp beer drinker for the most part so I love Czech and German lagers and pilsners.  I find myself shamelessly indulging in some bottles of Miller Lite for the exact reason that BB mentioned.  Good for a hot summer day.  Like sparkling water with a little booze.

When I have to drink cheap watery beer-I'm a Bud Light gal. Miller gives me a raging headache every time!

When I was in Cozumel this summer they would make a chaser of Clamato to drink after your shot of Tequila. It cut the shot. It was disgusting, but it cut the shot.

I had a Tommyknocker Cocoa Porter Saturday. It's brewed in Idaho Springs, CO at Tommyknocker Brewery. It was delish!

Miller Lite gives me a headache, too.  I had a Bloody Mary yesterday and the guy who made it topped it off with Miller Lite and today I have a headache.... I'm sure it has nothing to do with it being Mardi Gras weekend and I'm sobering up for the first time since about 10am Saturday.   ;D

I also had a shot of pickle juice as a tequilla chaser.  Not necessarily "good", but not as disgusting as it sounds.

I think this is a regional one. I know they have billboards around here for it and I've seen it at my local megamart. blech....you can have it. Then again, the St Louis area has Stag Beer. sooooooooooo......

Growing up in Omaha, we were raised to be Miller fans. Omaha was not Bud Territory. I actually have a few bottles left in my fridge from a party this summer.

Miller light isnt too terrible, but I cant get a buzz off it to save my life. It does ok as far as maintaining the buzz if I start off with something else and switch over. Its probably been discussed already (I didnt have time to scroll through all 42 pages of this thread) but I really enjoy me a nice can of Yuengling. I grew up in Ohio where you cant get it which is the weirdest thing cause its brewed right next door in PA. Down here in NC its pretty big though, I fell in love...

Did not know Ohio doesnt sell Yuengling. I think only like 15 or so states do, but I figured Ohio was one of them.

Best Yuengling Ive after had was draught at this bar called Murphy's Law (south) at Myrtle Beach. Didnt really even taste like Yuengling, had some nice hops burst too it. I must have went there 3-4 times, and it tasted like that each time. My cousin swear by this as well. Still boggles my mind

Miller Lite gives me a splitting headache, too.  So weird, I had no idea it had that effect on others.  They must put something in it...

A few years ago I had a job down in the Imperial Valley, out in the desert east of San Diego, just north of the border. I was doing work for a hospital down there, and every day for lunch I'd go out with the facilities operations guys. They took me to a few of their favorite Mexican restaurants (outstanding food), and I tried chelada too (mixed at the bar, "from scratch", not from the can). It definitely had beer and tomato juice in it, but lots of other spices and sauces, and it was served on ice. It was pretty good, but I'd rather just have a beer.

IPA fans, I have a recommendation: Foothills Brewery's Hoppyium IPA. Got a growler of it about a week ago and I've already been back for two more. Its freaking amazing, one of the best beers I've ever had. Call me an alcoholic, but all I want to do is sit around and drink it. If you're in NC or TN, try to find it.

I am lovin' some Torp out of my freezer chilled German stein...they seem to know how to make a drinking vessel over there across the big pond...

Shoot, my local beer/wine snob store is closing Saturday. However they're offering 20% off. I'm stopping tonight! Hopefully some good selections will come of this.

Hennepin Farmhouse Saison from Brewery Ommegang- Delicious. Crisp, slighty hoppy, just a touch of yeast of flavor. Good good stuff.
