QuoteStone Brewing is finally distributing to Chicago!  I tried the Stone Smoked Porter with Vanilla Beans and the 2008 Imperial Russian Stout Aged in Bourbon Barrels.  Om nom nom.  Maybe a few more tonight.

I am a big fan of Stone Brewing.  Specifically these two:

Oh nice - the Arrogant Bastard is pouring tonight at my local bar.  I'll check it out!

Sorry Torp but move your ass over because I am dumping you for my new best friend, Ranger. Those Simcoe Hops Cones give it that citrus bite I have been looking for. Plus your CEO is hot...

New Belgium.  If you're lucky to get it in your state, pick it up.

Nah, we dont get New Belgium here. I thought I had heard of all of their brews, if not at least tried 2/3 of them. Looks like this is their newest one though.

How is the NB Trippel belgian? I usually like Trippel's more than Dubbel's, but Im intrigued.

ALady or someone with access to New Belgium - maybe you could put this Ranger on your list for the Merriweather beer swap  :-*

I believe they have Ranger at my local gas station. May have to try it.

My buddy that works for the brewery got me a case of Nordeast by Grain Belt. It's a new beer that they just made. For the first couple months it's only being sold in the Nordeast side of Minneapolis, hence the name Nordeast. We keep it Scandinavian!  8-)

I just bought some of that this weekend!  Very good, with amusing quotes under the bottle caps to boot.  Also tried Hopslam for the first time this weekend, and Dogfish Head Red & White.  It was a boozy weekend for sure, but hey, it was my birthday!
We could.

Tried the Miller Genuine Draft 64 last weekend--not very thrilling but I felt good about me limiting my excess calorie intake. :-/
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

I was able to revisit these two Terrapin selections (among other beers) while in Nashville.  Unfortunately, I cannot get Terrapin (Athens, GA) in my area.  I highly recommeng both, but the Big Hoppy Monster really stood out.  It is a, well, a big hoppy monster.

Hopsecutioner  ;D  That should be Bernard Hopkins beer of choice.

Somehow Ive never had Terrapin. Probably partially because I dont like buying a case of something Ive never had before and Ive never seen it on tap anywhere. I'll have to try some sometime
