Saw this great action/ crime thriller from the late 60s called "Bullitt" that has the best car chase scene ever through the hills of San Francisco. It stars Steve McQueen who is ultra cool as the cop who chases the underworld villain. Made me really convinced I need a vintage Mustang.
Everyone has a photographic memory. Some don't have film.

The DARK

In another time, in another place, in another face

Eraserhead. again. I love watching Mr X and his crazy rants. "I put every damn pipe in this neighborhood. People think that pipes grow in their homes. But they sure as hell don't! Look at my knees! Look at my knees!" And the nearly comatose grandma is great. There have to be some other David Lynch fans out there. I know I've asked before.

Good idea.
The trouble with the straight and the narrow is it's so thin, I keep sliding off to the side

The demented baby is slightly...disturbing.

Other Lynch classics I enjoy:

Blue Velvet
Fire Walk with Me

I also enjoy Pi greatly (not a Lynch film) if only for the B&W style and disconnected main character.  That and he's a fellow computer dude.

Watching Pan's Labyrinth tonight - so excited!!!
Holy masterpiece!!!

I loved it, and so did the gal I watched it with.  She loved the fantasy parts more and I loved the war/drama parts more, but as a whole what a wonderful film.  What a wonderful ending.

i finally saw it saturday. what a welcome addition to the pantheon of my favorite films. seriously. this film was nothing less than beautiful.

my favorite part was when the doctor said to the captain (not an exact quote) "because to simply take orders without asking questions is something meant for men like you."

i cried at the end. what a great movie!

Watched Die Hard for the first time ever yesterday afternoon.

SO BADASS!!!  I was fist-pumping for what felt like the whole movie.  Loved it.  Now I've got to check out the other two before the new one drops.

just finished science of sleep this afternoon.
afterwards i tooka three and a half hour nap
.
i dont' know how i feel about it.
i really liked it, but was a little unfulfilled... images were lovely but... hmm...
maybe my expectations were just too high. but that's no excuse, i suppose.

anyway, i'm very sleepy.

2 & 3 is not bad, but NO ONE can ever top f'n Hans Freakin Gruber. Alan Rickman is a BMF in this movie.

Absolutely LOOOVE Lynch but this one gave me the creeps for weeks afterward--especially that freaky baby!
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

I like some of Lynch. I didn't care for Eraserhead, but I'm still sad and angry about star Jack Nance's 1996 murder.

Dune in any form and length isn't a good movie either. The recent two mini-series were far more engrossing.

God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

That movie's going to be so kick-ass.
