Little Children - Very good. Not sure if I would have enjoyed quite so much if I hadn't read the book first though...
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

The book is truly outstanding. Now is it like Tom Perrotta's other classic Election where the movie is better then the book? I have not seen Little Children and cannot wait to see it. I think Election is the only one that I can think of where the movie is better then the book.

Election the movie was great, I haven't read the book.
Like yourself I loved (Little Children) the book, which made watching the movie that bit more enjoyable. I don't think the movie is better (as so often in cases like this there are lots of interesting sub-plots that got left out) but it's definitely one of the best movie adaptations that I've seen.
The movie is narrated, which I thought was a cop out at first but it actually works really well. The cast were all excellent, particularly Kate Winslet & Patrick Wilson, who I don't think I've seen in anything before.

I luv Kate Winslet. She's on my list. I would recommend reading Election. It's good but the movie is just that much better. It's a rarity.

Inga: Werewolf!
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Werewolf?
Igor: There.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: What?
Igor: There, wolf. There, castle.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Why are you talking that way.
Igor: I thought you wanted to.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: No, I don't want to.
Igor: Suit yourself. I'm easy.

Oh my, that is possibly one of the funniest scenes ever. Don't know why.

Knocked Up

Simply incredible.  You know when a movie opens with "Shimmy Shimmy Ya" that it's going to kick some major ass and it did.

Side-splitting hilarious.  Tear-jerking touching and cringeworthy.  Just amazing.  Best film I've seen this year by far.  The Loudon Wainwright III songs were amazing (the one played over the credits nearly brought me to tears, I'll be picking up the soundtrack asap).

Loved all the Freaks and Geeks alumni.

Go see it now!

it is a good film. that part when paul rudd was counting the types of chairs in the hotel room KILLED me. "this chair is HIGH."

i have watched too many movies in the past few days. i finally got to see bobby, which was great. turns out emilio estevez wrote and directed it, which surprised me. i know i am only 23 and therefore have no living memory of bobby kennedy, but this film does a good job of showing how people felt when they lost him. i was bawling by the end. seriously. i think it was the speech of bobby's they played that made me cry, though. here's a link if you'd like to read it. i find it to be VERY applicable to the current state of affairs here in the states:

great cast, too. harry belafonte, anthony hopkins, william macy, elijah wood, sharon stone, demi moore, christian slater, lawrence fishburne, and a bunch of others.

dreamgirls was good, too. jennifer hudson deserved that oscar.

i watched for your consideration last night. this was too funny for words. i could not stop laughing. we had to pause the movie twice to be able to maintain. i love christopher guest.

'The Rules of Attraction'

A drug, sex and alcohol fuelled mess of a movie - but I quite liked it. Very dark. Might have to search out the book...

The Big Come Up

Boondock Saints. So awseome it hurts.

The Cooler - very enjoyable quirky little film staring William H Macy & Alec Baldwin (a good role for him)

edit: Yeah, there's supposed to be a poster of Charlie Kaufman's new one here, but it's MIA.

ONCE.  I've never been IN love.  I've loved someone with everything in me but they're two different things.  This movie made me yearn to be IN LOVE.

In-Limbo, was probably an alternate name for this movie!

Hi Forum, I'm New!!!!

Wolf Creek - pretty lame actually

Hi, ta - and welcome to the board.
The trouble with the straight and the narrow is it's so thin, I keep sliding off to the side
