goodness I love this movie

Rosencrantz: Let me get it straight. Your father was king. You were his only son. Your father dies. You are of age. Your uncle becomes king.
Guildenstern: Yes.
Rosencrantz: Unusual.
Guildenstern: Undid me.
Rosencrantz: Undeniably.
Guildenstern: He slipped in.
Rosencrantz: Which reminds me...
Guildenstern: Well, it would.
Rosencrantz: I don't want to be personal.
Guildenstern: Common knowledge.
Rosencrantz: Your mother's marriage.
Guildenstern: He slipped in.
Rosencrantz: His body was still warm!
Guildenstern: So was hers.
Rosencrantz: Extraordinarily...
Guildenstern: Indecent.
Rosencrantz: Hasty.
Guildenstern: Suspicious.
Rosencrantz: Makes you think.
Guildenstern: Don't think I haven't.
Rosencrantz: And with her husband's brother!
Guildenstern: They *were* close.
Rosencrantz: She went to him...
Guildenstern: Too close.
Rosencrantz: For comfort.
Guildenstern: It looks bad.
Rosencrantz: Adds up.
Guildenstern: Incest to adultery.
Rosencrantz: Would you go so far?
Guildenstern: Never!
Rosencrantz: To sum up: your father, whom you love, dies. You are his heir. You come back to find that hardly was the corpse cold before his young brother pops onto his throne and into his sheets, thereby offending both legal and natural practice. Now... why exactly are you behaving in this extraordinary manner?
Guildenstern: I can't imagine.

I just saw Driving Lessons with Laura Linney and Rupert Grint (aka ron from harry potter films).  It was so good.  I heard it was a harold and maude story, which it is, but even better.  It wasn't funny haha, it was funny hmmm.  but laugh out loud funny hmm.  If you ever went to church or had a messed up family....you will enjoy this film.
nothing can be changed except ourselves

I watched two classic James Stewart westerns, The Naked Spur from 1953 (co-starring Robert Ryan, Ralph Meeker and Janet Leigh) and Winchester '73 from 1950 (co-starring Dan Duryea and Shelly Winters). These are two of director Anthony Mann's best works and they sit proudly next to more famous westerns of that era made by Howard Hawks, John Ford and John Sturges.

Owen Wilson attempts suicide?!! http://www.imdb.com/news/wenn/2007-08-27/

Wedding Crashers star Owen Wilson was rushed to the hospital Sunday afternoon from his home in Santa Monica, California, amid rumors published by the National Enquirer and Star magazine that the actor had attempted suicide. An ambulance was called to Wilson's home shortly after noon on Sunday, and he was initially admitted to St. John's Health Center before being transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The transcript of the 911 call, as well as the circumstances surrounding it, have not been officially released. However, the National Enquirer reported on its web site that Wilson was discovered by a family member after taking an "indeterminate" amount of pills and slashing his wrists, and that his condition at the time was "very serious." Neither Wilson's publicity representatives nor his family have commented on any aspects of the reports being published, though Cedars-Sinai confirmed through a spokesperson that Wilson was being treated there and was now "in good condition." On Monday afternoon, Wilson himself released a brief statement through his publicist, stating, "I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time." Wilson, who received an Academy Award nomination for co-writing The Royal Tenenbaums with director Wes Anderson, is starring in Anderson's next film, The Darjeeling Limited, currently set to be shown at the New York Film Festival in late September.
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Watched "Beer League" on Comedy Central, I really didn't think that it was all that bad. it had some moments.
Much Greater Than Science Fiction

I caught the last half of a movie called The Bridge on IFC the other night.  I had read about it and its fairly, uhhh, haunting.  They set up cameras around the Golden Gate Bridge for a year and recorded over 20 people jumping.  They later interviewed friends and relatives.  The movie ends with one guy taking a swan dive off the bridge and hitting the water - yikes.
I'm not saying it's easy...walking into sweet oblivion.

I usually use rotten tomatoes for the critics & imdb for the fans. By looking at a movie on those 2 sites you can usually get a pretty good idea of what a movie is going to be like & if it's your cup of tea or not.

I wanted to see this one because I'm a fan of The Stones & Paddy Considine. Best thing about the movie? I can't lie...lots of women with their tops off  :-[
The actress that played Anita Pallenberg was a stunner!

Just watched Blue Hawaii. If there's a better way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon than watching Elvis movies I have no idea what it is  ;)

Watched American Psycho earlier.  I'd never seen it before.

I ca't say that I expected to see Christian Bale running naked through an apartment with a chainsaw trying to kill a girl.
The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place

Coffee and Cigarettes

Loved it!  The GZA / RZA / Bill Murray and Tom Waits / Iggy Pop were my two favourite scenes.  Oh how I love Roberto Benigni.

Aside from this, I've only seen Down By Law and Broken Flowers, can anyone recommend more Jarmusch?

Haha, busted! It is indeed but that's just a coincidence, it's a great movie regardless of the fact that it's Elvis related  ;)

Worlds Fastest Indian - full of cliches of stereotypes yet hugely entertaining due to an excellent performance by Anthony Hopkins. Highly recomended if you don't mind your earl grey heavily sugared from time to time.

Superbad. I thought it was equally as funny as Knocked Up. Michael Cera kept me cracking up throughout. I sure do miss him on Arrested Development.
