Brick - bought this ages ago & it's sat in my unwatched pile for ages. Not sure if I liked it or not. Definitely interesting & I really like Joseph Gordon-Levitt...one to watch again maybe?
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Last King Of Scotland - my wife & I usually watch a horror movie close to Halloweem but this was the best 'horror' movie I've seen in a long time.
Far, far better than Blood Diamond, which I couldn't force myself to finish watching a week or so back...

QuoteSticking with Sci-Fi did anyone else see that Simon Pegg will be playing Scotty in the new Star Trek movie?

Yeah and "The Shat" will apparently not be included in the cast of this one (to his chagrin of course)
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

From the Comcast-On-Demand-Free-Free-Movie-Vault, my wife and I just watched The Big Chill. That is an excellent movie! It actually reminded me of a Tim O'Brien book called July, July, though I think the movie came first, and neither one had any basis on the other. Also, the soundtrack for The Big Chill was awesome, old Soul and R&B stuff.

"I'm able to sing because I'm able to fly, son. You heard me right..."

'Once' just the best.

Great, great film.

Last night I watched Stanley Kubrick's Barry Lyndon. I didn't really know what to expect from this movie, its pretty normal for a Kubrick film. It was pretty good, but it didn't take hold of me and glue me in like most of his work does.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

Sunshine. Loved it. Especially the visuals and the soundtrack! A+

'Interview' with Sienna Miller and Steve Buscemi

A bit thin and messy, and Sienna Miller just gets plain annoying in the end.

Just about to watch this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0401711/

Can't wait to see Alexander Payne's and the Coen Brothers' segments.

I was quite excited about that but have read mixed reviews. Let us know your thoughts when you've watched it K.

As a whole, it wasn't the best.  Definitely worth a watch though, lots of good segments, but only a couple really great ones.  The Coen Brothers' and Wes Cravens I loved, and Alexander Payne knocked out another winner, his was by far my favourite.  It brought back every emotion I've experienced traveling alone, so perfect.

Some how, some way, (not by my choice) I ended up watching "Lions For Lambs"  (Redford & Cruise)

This was a 1.5 hr Public Service Announcement about Redford's political views - no real plot or story, just three crappy at best individual "heartfelt tales" that are supposed to grip the viewer.  I'm not sure what they were going for with the movie, but I know that I will never get that time back in my life.

whoever forced to watch that is obviously a fascist, nazi.  Run in the other direction now!   ;)

Deja Vu--very cool sci fi tinged mystery.  I would love to see that technology become reality someday.

just saw

Into the Wild

definitely worth the 2.5 hours, great movie.

Following some of the press around this, I dont understand the "outrage" people have towards Chris for doing what he did.  It kinda pisses me off to tell the truth.  I read a few people, making their claims as Alaskan's (for what thats worth), saying that he "deserved to die"  Really??................. :-?

IHL

Not sure about 'deserved to die' but I know locals were critical of him because he went in with very few supplies. But that's exactly how he wanted to live...

Oasis: Lord Don't Slow Me Down - good new documentary from the ever lovable Gallagher brothers.
