O Brother, Where Art Thou?
Millers Crossing

Go see No Country while you still can. Then, go with this order:
Blood Simple
Barton Fink
O Brother, Where Art Thou?
Millers Crossing
The Man Who Wasn't There
The Ladykillers (it's ok, not as bad as some say. definitely not essential viewing though)
Intolerable Cruelty (never seen it, plan to rent it)

The first 3 i mentioned are among their best. The others are eh, ok at best but i enjoy them on account of the Coens being my favorite directors/producers.

That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

You've got a LOT of good movies to watch.  I would order them like this:

The Man Who Wasn't There
Blood Simple
Barton Fink
O Brother, Where Art Thou?
Intolerable Cruelty
Millers Crossing
The Ladykillers

I still haven't seen No Country for Old Men unfortunately so I didn't rank it.  I need to try and go see it over the holiday break.

QuoteI just got this in the post, my most anticipated movie of the year (along with Hot Fuzz)

Holy f'n crap that was a great movie. That was a bit intense, touching, and scary in parts. I find it fascinating to see strife and politcal/social uneasiness in Jolly Ole England. I do not understand why, but I do. I have this strange idealistic view that things are just wonderful in England (and I'm sure they are) where everything is neat and grand. Makes me think it's not really any different there as it is here in America. I had to watch it twice as I had a hard time understanding what the hell was being said.

Friday Night Lights - Powerful, and excellent!  Loved the soundtrack.

office space was the first movie of the new year and a happy one to all

i went to see charlie wilson's war this past weekend. it was a really good movie. i think phillip seymour hoffman really stole the show, though. great performance from him in this one.

Sicko - scary as hell, and really sad.

I was laughing too. I also laughed hard when Moore showed clips from revisionist news reports on the poor state of Canada's national health care. The one about Ottawa having only one radiation machine was hilarious and very very wrong. Sure our health care has some shortcomings (tax cuts normally affect long-term health care claims and services), but I'd never want it privatized. No one I've ever met and no politician would ever want it privatized; it would be seen as a bad joke and a threat to Canada's pride... and very unhealthy.

Atonement - absolutely amazing! Would be my film of the year if it wasn't for This Is England.
+ Charlie Wilson's War, Juno, Walk Hard, Enchantment & I Am Legend.

Also bought Knocked Up & Superbad, both of which I can't wait to watch.
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Haven't seen any of those except Knocked Up and Superbad. I want to see This Is England. Favorites this year: Into The Wild, No Country For Old Men, Knocked Up, Superbad.

EDIT: saw Walk Hard too
