"that sounds like a y.p, not an m.p."

Classic!

;D

How cool is John C. Reilly in Boogie Nights? Porn star, but also songwriter and aspiring magician!

Next up, Pan's Labyrinth, heard good things about this one.

Pan's is not an easy movie by any means. I loved it, but man, it's disturbing.

Watched Kids In The Hall: Brain Candy. Haven't seen it in a while. Yeah it's not as good as the show, but come on! Cancer Boy? That's fucking hysterical. "Oww my marrow's Low"

Pavement: The Slow Century

Pretty good, but I wished it had gone into the breakup a little more.

Pride & Prejudice - I'm not a big fan of period pieces but decided to watch this after learning that it was directed by Atonement's Joe Wright.

God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

4 in a row?  :)

For some strange reason I suddenly had a strong urge to watch westerns/war movies this weekend. Went to the DVD store but their selection was CRAP so I just ordered Fistful Of Dollars, Few Dollars More, Good Bad & The Ugly, Once Upon A Time In The West, Pale Rider, Magnificent Seven & Where Eagles Dare.

I got the Man With No Name trilogy in a boxset for only $20 (down from $40) & Once Upon A Time for only $5 from amazon. The others were Japanese copies so I should have those by the end of the week.

Great, great, great version--can't say enough!  The chemistry between Kiera Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen was spicy to say the least.  Hands down my favorite Jane Austen adaptation.

Just watched "The Heartbreak Kid" last night.  I'm not generally a Farelly brothers fan--other than Fever Pitch--but this one evoked some chuckles.
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

Gone Baby Gone - a bit convoluted, but a decent film.

Michael Clayton - it's very good and thankfully doesn't spoon-feed the audience.

Those folks are losers, plain and simple. Jesse James isn't a shoot 'em up like the terrible film Shoot 'Em Up (that those losers you mentioned probably love). Jesse James is a brooding and moody character study and a really good psychological western in the Anthony Mann vein of westerns.

have you seen the proposition? jesse james reminded me a lot of that movie. btw that was well put

I have the Proposition, but I haven't watched it yet. Another good new western is Seraphim Falls with Pierce Brosnan and Liam Neeson. It's a fine revenge film and you can feel the cold of winter in every scene.

nice ive been oin the fence on wether to watch that i think ill give it shot tonight
