A very good/strange little movie by David Gordon Green (George Washington, upcoming Pineapple Express) called Undertow starring Billy Elliot, Dermot Mulroney & Josh Lucas.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0360130/
The very enjoyable An Unfinished Life directed by Lasse Hallström (My Life As A Dog, What's Eating Gilbert Grape) starring Robert Redford, Morgan Freeman, Jenifer Lucas & Josh Lucas again.

+ Outlaw Josey Wales & one of my all time favs The Long Good Friday!

God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

I really want to say HULK SMASH!!! but I'm not sure if this looks any better than the previous effort...

i watched the darjeeling ltd., which was another gem from wes anderson.

then we decided to watch another cinematic gem known as "i know who killed me," starring lindsey lohan. this movie was so terrible that it was fun to watch. it was supposed to be a thriller, but it turned out to be a great comedy.

best line in the movie...

lohan is in a bus and is bleeding. a guy tells her to hold the injured limb above her heart. she complies and then asks said dude why he hasn't inquired about her injury. his reply:

people get cut... that's life.
all facts begin as dreams dreamt by the wizard

Continuing my Clint Eastwood marathon (Where Eagles Dare, Fistful Of, Few Dollars More, High Plains, Outlaw Josey, Unforgiven & A Perfect World all in the last few weeks) I saw Honky Tonk Man last night.
By no means essential & at times rather silly but very enjoyable all the same.

Yeah the previous version was such a disaster they're just pretending it didn't happen. Which would be fine if this one looked good but I'm not sure if it does.
The film is due in 3 months time but the trailer was only just released & there are no posters/promotion...the signs don't look good.

i watched some of the previous version on cable and i didn't think it was that bad. i think they could've at least waited longer to do this version. maybe they think having Edward Norton will give them some credibility this time?

I have the DVD & enjoyed some of the first movie (Hulk leaping about in the desert was fun) but the ending was just a big silly mess.
I like the idea of Ed Norton playing Bruce Banner. I still want to see this, no Japan date yet though...

Speaking of comic adaptations, how cool is the latest Iron Man poster?!!

That fact that the poster advertises that it is from the director of Emmanuelle makes this funny.

'This is England'

Heard a lot about it from people at work. Finally saw it this week. Loved it. Hard hitting in places but the acting is superb with a really good soundtrack.

Have you seen any of Shane Meadows's other movies IHL? If you haven't then look out for Dead Man's Shoes & A Room For Romeo Brass.

QuoteThe new movie Southland Tales from the director of Donnie Darko comes out on DVD next week. It looks like its either gonna be really bad or really good. I'm really having a lot of doubts about it. Trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtp14ikRvxo

I'll wager it will suck. Videos that go straight-to-video normally do so for a reason.

i watched it last night. it was TERRIBLE.
