Didn't know that...how strange. Maybe Owen, Adrien & Jason just don't sweat that much?  ;)

The Road Home - the 2nd of 3 DVDs I just bought by Chinese director Yimou Zhang. Very simple, touching love story. Maybe a little overly sentimental in parts but still very good.
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Last weekend, me and Meg watched No Country For Old Men.
This weekend, me and Meg watched There Will Be Blood.

I loved both, but There Will Be Blood was my favorite.

Oceans 13 - liked Oceans 11, didn't bother with 12. This was OK...a bit silly but still fun. I like David Holmes's movie scores (Oceans 11, Out Of Sight)

There Will Be Blood

Powerful, amazing, etc.
DDL = Incredible.  Paul Dano really brought it too.  Loved Greenwood's score.

I FINALLY saw No Country for Old Men.  Great movie.  I Love the Coens.  Definitely not their best which is kinda what I was expecting since it's their only Best Movie winner.  I do need to see it again though.  Every Coen brothers movie is better the second time you see it, though some more than others.

Wristcutters: A Love Story

Nice little film featuring two of my favourites - Patrick Fugit and Shannyn Sossamon.  Tom Waits was hilarious and his scene with Will Arnett (played my absolute favourite television character) was bliss for me.

i saw it. it wasn't a masterpiece like Eternal Sunshine or The Science Of Sleep, but it was good. It wasn't a love story either like the two previous, was more comical. have no idea about the dvd.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

Check the $5 dump bin at Wal-mart for Drumline. That's were we found out copy.  :-[

thought it was a great movie too but definately not their best.  I was more impressed by There Will Be Blood, it was the better picture of the year IMO.

Coen brothers can do no wrong in my book, but I just didn't get this movie.  I watched it twice.  Great dialogue, but that much is a given.  Other than that I was disappointed.  Maybe too much hype...   :-[

(spoiler alert)

I kinda feel the same way.  They definitely built tension throughout the movie very well, but there was no pay off.  I like that it was far from a hollywood ending but the way it ended kinda made me feel gypped.  why was i tense the whole time? for that?  but like i said, i need to see it again.

Surf's Up.

I seriously recommend this movie.  It's a kids animated flick but it's shot like a documentary and if you ever saw Step Into Liquid you'll catch the jokes and the jokes are actually hilarious.  Surprised the hell out of me this was so good.

There Will Be Blood.  Me likey.  I watched the first half and fell asleep (we put it in really late and it's a long, slow movie) 2 nights ago with my gf, and watched the whole thing again last night with my parents.  It is a bit slow and methodical, but there is always this tension like something big is going to happen, like Daniel is just going to flip out and kill everyone, which I liked.  It also seemed like there could be many underlying themes or motives to this movie, greed (obviously), good vs. evil, religion, etc.  Everyone I watched it with commented on how creepy the music was.
We could.
