God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

What should it be...Rashomon or George Washington tonight?

Hard choice.  :-/ I'd go with Rashomon, but that's just the mood I'm in.

The trailer Tracy posted for BALLAST made me think of George Washington.

you know, I love that movie too and there's plenty of memorable scenes, but something about when he sees that deer on the tracks that morning and says he never told anyone about it just blows me away for some reason. I dunno, someone want to analyze why?

Yay! Favorite movie of all time.

Watch it again. It is even better the 2nd time around.

Really great movie. Have any of you seen The City of Lost Children? That's another awesome Jean-Pierre Jeunet film.
Also check out Delicatessen. Another phenomanal Jean-Pierre Jeunet film.

Just saw a preview of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button with The Arcade Fire's "My Body is a Cage" playing...All sorts of bad-ass.

I cant wait to see this flick. Doubtful I pay to see it in theaters, but when you age in reverse like BButton. and Brad Pitt is the lead, im guessing a good to great movie is what happens

Very interested to hear about this

Now that I know they picked My Body is a Cage, I'm much more interested in seeing it. They have good taste. Easily my favorite track on Neon Bible.

Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels arrived in the mail again today for like the 10th time. I should just buy a copy already. Yeah. Love it love it loooooove it.

The Searchers - Good but I think I prefer Sergio Leone and Clint Eastwood.
Youth Without Youth - Why didn't this get more publicity/hype? Its only been ten years since Francis Ford Coppola's last movie.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

I got There Will Be Blood from my online rental a couple of weeks ago, just can't find myself in the right mood to watch it...

It does take a certain mood. No dialogue for twenty minutes and more or less pure intensity for the entire running time. But once you're ready for it, it's amazing in every way possible.

It's also not a black or white movie tone-wise; it's grey, plus it looks and moves like a Terrence Malick or even a David Lean film.

Watched it last night...absolutely superb! Daniel Day Lewis was incredible!
I thought I'd watched most of his movies (In The Name of The Father & Last Of The Mohicans were my favourites before last night) but I haven't seen The Boxer or Ballad of Jack & Rose. Anyone?

I still think Punch-Drunk Love is my fav PTA (parent teacher association?) Only just though...

I think those are both supposed to be good, but havent seen them

Gotta see TWBBlood still too

Cant see it topping Last of the Mohicans though  :)

Gangs of New York I still think is an underrated movie and performance by him.

There Will Be Blood was a good movie, but the acting was fantastic. What really impressed me was how Paul Dano held his own against Daniel Day Lewis.

Just watched Christmas On Mars. I really liked it. I was expecting something really epic after seven years, but it was just a nice little movie, about an hour and twenty minutes. Some of the acting was decent at best, but Steven Drozd actually did a very good job. Great music obviously. Some nice visuals. I'm not disappointed.
