"The Losers"--I liked it.  Lots of guns and explosions.

"Funny People"--I would have to say one of Sandler's better bits of film

"Audition"--holy sheet bet that lil girl who starred had a helluva time getiing a date for a looong time--skeezy.

"The Final Destination"--crap movie series but they had some of the gnarliest special effects for the deaths.

"Green Zone"--good stuff from Damon

I watched this again last week and I think it works a lot better if you go in expecting a drama with plenty of humor as opposed to a comedy. As far as the actual comedy in the movie, easily Sandlers best since Big daddy.

Audtition is one seriously fucked up movie! I made sure I knew as little about it as I could before watching it. Starts out pretty slow but good lord does it deliver at the end! Very twisted flick :o

Inception - 8.9/10 bad ass shit.

Hunter Prey - 5/10 had no idea what it was when I downloaded it other than the description on imdb.  If you like way cheesy sci fi stuff ala star wars rip offs or star trek or something you'll probably like this movie.  I'll give it to the director for tripping me out a couple times and for that I was able to get through what I thought would be a completely unwatchable movie.  Does that mean it was good? no. It seemed like a hybrid of every science fiction movie ever made but done really low budget and cheesily so.  

as per JohnnyYac's' review I downloaded "The Doors - When You're Strange" and must say it was top notch.  It had some really insightful moments.  The in studio footage was ridiculously entertaining. 9/10 for what it was.

Just saw a few movies...

Kickass
while I hate to be corny, it was KICKASS!

I don't really know what I was specifically expecting, but I wasn't expecting anything really good (I hate Nicholas Cage; "why couldn't you just put the bunny in the box?") but the movie really was entertaining

I wasn't expecting the action/violence that the movie had, and I really didn't mind Cage in this movie, it really suited him well.

The action scenes were very entertaining and the story was enjoyable

I recommend it

The acting is amazing.  Not just from Sidibe, but the actress who plays her mother.  Holy *bleeping* *bleep*, what a performance.  The movie is extremely powerful, and depressing.  I didn't feel as uplifted at the end as I wanted to, and it made me think a bit too much about some of the folks who I encounter at my job, but the movie really was fantastic.

Grown Ups - 5/10 after about an hour I thought the movie ran out of gas.  Kevin James is horrible, it's even more obvious when he's paired with Chris, Rob, David, and Adam.  Not to mention all the other SNL cameos.  To me it seemed like Kevin James was doing a weak Chris Farley impression.  If Chris Farley was still alive this movie would make way more sense.  If Kevin James wasn't in it it would have been better.  A very family friendly movie if you've got little kids.

Finally saw Crazy Heart and also Appaloosa. I loved Jeff Bridges character and that theme song is awesome. As for Appaloosa, I'll watch westerns all day. The humour was great and I loved that they played Mudcrutch in the credits.

My exact thoughts. I hate her with the firey heat of 1000 white hot suns. I would glady make this a date movie if anyone else was in it but her. And Adventureland is good. Kristen Stewert was less wooden in it then she is in the Twilight movies..IMO

Recently I've seen the following. I haven't been much in a movie mood. Not that I have time to sit and watch a movie.

Battle Royle- This is just fucked up. I'll throw this up there with the Oldboy trilogy. What the hell is wrong with Asian film makers. Just disturbing.

Trent happened to catch the scene where the Church piece fell on the reporter. He laughed for 5 minutes straight. I think I've created a monster.
