Yeah, you gotta give him credit for his casting decisions for really every character as well. I think it was a good call to have some no name that Ive never seen before (and I watch a lot of movies) as his love interest. Some big name actress' fear and emotional damage after being part of a kidnapping might not have been as believable as it was with her.

Saw The Town and thought it was great.  I think Ben Affleck is a good actor who previously made some really bad choices.   He's redeemed himself in my eyes.

Hells yeah!
In reading up more on the movie (cuz I'm a Potterdork), this one will be most like the book, or at least as much as possible given some of the changes they made to the story in previous films. I absolutly loathed the fact they delayed the release of this but this will rock the bells of awesomeness with the extra time they were given.

So does that mean they'll be camping and doing nothing for three quarters of the movie?

Yes and no. The split is happening when V gets the wand. So we'll have all of the fights and chase scenes too in Part 1. The stuff from Godrick Hollow, the Ministry, and Malfoy Manor should be pretty much awesome. There will be a fair amount of the camping trip of doom but I do not think they will go into long detail like JKR did. Part 2 will be Gringotts and the Final Battle. Yeah, I'm a dork. I just wanted to let yinz guys know I was beating off to some NSFW pics and got a half angle of Hermione's titties and shot one on the ceiling. This movie is gonna be that good  ::)

In the last few weeks I saw:

12 Angry Men - This was the only film I hadn't seen in the top 10 of the IMDB top 250. It was good but I wouldn't rate it that high (higher than several Hitchcock, Kubrick films etc...)

Red Riding Trilogy - Started slow but got better as they connected things from film to film.

Greenberg - I liked it, typical Noah Baumbach.

I'm in the middle of watching Band Of Brothers, bought it used for a good price and is in new condition. Not sure if that belongs in this thread or the tv thread.

Looking forward to : The Social Network, RED, True Grit
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

Still no comment on Inception, True?

Machete - 6.5/10: Alright, I dug this movie.  I thought it served it's purpose.  Machete was truly a mexican bad ass and it was in that classic style.  BUT to me it felt like a Quentin Tarantino rip off.  I know they did Grindhouse together but this seemed more like paying homage to quentin or something.  It was like Kill Bill with Machete's or something.  but not nearly as good.  Kill Bill Vol. 1 is like a 9/10 for me.  still worth watching most definitely.

nightmare on elm street 2010 2/10: I think freddie was the one dude from watchmen but it sucked bad.  freddie seemed less scary in the new version and since they just rehashed the plot from the series and crammed it into an hour an a half it was pretty boring too.  heady have you seen it?  do you think inception ripped off freddie?

No, and no. Plus Freddie's biggest power is the ability to kill you in your dreams. You cant die in your dreams in Inception.

If Inception doesnt win the best pic oscar next year, I might shed some tears.

Probably not 'til I see it a second time, whenever the DVD comes out. I'll bump the thread when that happens.

I just saw P.S. I Love You and I have never cried so much during a movie ever. It was oh so sad, but oh so amazing. I would post the trailer, but it's awful. Americans sure know how to make corny movie trailers...  ;) They also know how to make great movies though, so yay. If you haven't already, see it!

You are NOT a dork. I've read the series through many times and I can't wait for this film. The camping will take up a good part of the film, but I doubt too much....they have a lot of action to cram into these two films.

The Social Network This movie surprised me. I know there are a lot of complaints about its accuracy and sour portrayal of Mark Zuckerberg, but I don't think it was mean to be seen only as a bio-pic. If anything, it's fascinating to watch how this anti-social, awkward, completely aloof guy created a "social network" for people to connect. It also comments on the changing ways people interact with each other. I enjoyed the quick dialogue and how the filmmakers were able to write a compelling story about a kid who wrote a computer program.

I just saw this too.    Great acting, I thought.    I bring a lot of personal baggage that makes me too close to be objective, but it was certainly entertaining.   I couldn't believe two hours had gone by when it ended!

That's what I thought! Fast film...but in a good way.

I was going to see it tonight but I think Im going sometime thursday instead. Surprised it only made $22 million on opening weekend. I figured the great reviews combined with millions of facebook fanatics wouldve gotten it like $50-60

I think they are "condensing" down the camping portion of things. Split is right when Voldie gets the wand so that means part 2 will be ALL action. That still leaves a lot of action for 1. I.Cannot.Wait.
