Yes and no. Do not judge the series by book 1. It is the only one that is really a kiddie book. They do get progressivly darker and more adultish. Yes they are witches/wizards and there are some dragons but that's not the whole point of the stories...if that made any sense.

it would be way sweeter if hymenie(sp?) the chick showed a little more titty to be honest.  Harry is always having trouble with his wand and it's like, "damn dude, I'd be a way more bad ass wizard than you".  what what can ya do tho?

Sticky, I haven't watched it yet!  I saw the trailer and had to post.  Supposedly, its available On Demand, so I'll try to watch it tonight or tomorrow night and we can compare notes.  I highly recommend everyone at least view the trailer: http://www.magnetreleasing.com/hobowithashotgun/

Saw Souce Code... Better than I expected. I'm always scared to see action movies cause they could be amazing like Die Hard or they could suck like 90% of action movies. This one also included the Military which doubly scares me, but it was good. It is however predictable.
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

MEGAMIND!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best damn movie of the year! " I call it... The Black Mambaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa". LOL. Classic!
Why does my mind blow to bits everytime they play that song?

Cube

A fascinating and influential 1997 cult horror/psychological thriller from Canada. The budget was just $500,000, but you wouldn't know it. The story is fucked up: 7 random people kidnapped and locked in a kafkaesque maze of boxy rooms of differing colours; they have to find a way out but if they make the wrong decision, they die terrible but interesingly-orchestrated deaths. The purpose of this test is left to your interpretation, but it appears to be some sort of lab experiment. With a superior script, the claustrophopic set is a scary co-star while the acting, although a bit over-the-top, is fairly solid given the tight budget and that it was the first-ever film by director Vincenzo Natali (he directed last year's respected horror film, Splice); particulary good is David Hewlett(Rodney McKay from Stargate Atlantis) and to a lesser extent, Nicole de Boer (Star Trek DS9's Ezri Dax). Cult and horror fans should check this out. It is a mindfuck.

Hall Pass - pretty funny.  not hilarious, but definitely some really funny parts.  it was a little more tame than I expected it to be.

I Am Number 4 - I fell asleep during it, then woke started watching it and fell asleep again.

Loves me some Cube! Crazy, mindbending fun. I had no idea the dude that directed Cube also did Splice. Interesting.

This looked solid, like tthe best Farrelly Bros movie since Me Myself & Irene (which I think is hilarious and underrated).

Want to see Hall Pass and Cedar Rapids a lot...They look like the 2 best comedies of the year to me. Considered going to the theaters with my moms this weekend since I was back home, but all that even remotely interested me that was playing was Thor. Really?! I thought this was supposed to the like summer movie season beginning and shit.

Instead of theater, watched Invictus. Solid movie, wisely focused on Mandela more than the rugby team which I wasnt sure it would. Damon is a solid actor, but I didnt really buy him for this role. Morgan Freeman on the other hand was great and pretty much born for this role. He's pretty much always good, but his mannerisms and delivery were consistent with what Ive seen of Mandela and if for nothing else, its worth to see for his performance. Plus, I didnt know really anything about the story, so that was cool as well.

To me, it was quite remarkable.  Really made me ponder so much about the human experience and our expression of that experience.

*note: it really doesn't matter where you work, how much money you make, what you look like, where you live, your social status or standing....we are humans and we have a shared experience and history that spans tens of thousands of years...
