Finally saw Lemmy - a good little film; a who's who of Heavy Metal & Rock royalty give worthy praise & there are some great anecdotes (Mike Starr made me laugh) but Lemmy just seems, i don't know...too nice?  ;)

Can't wait to see them for the first time in November!
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Warrior - if you can get past the rather unbelievable storyline you're left with an excellent, thrilling & very moving sports movie. Tom Hardy, whilst not quite making the impact he did in Bronson, is brilliant!

Drive - pretty good movie.  have mixed feelings about the end but it was pretty sweet overall.

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark - okay, not that good.  kinda scared me a little but not really.  kinda like a kids horror movie that's mildly scary but not really.

Horrible Bosses - sorta funny.  have no urge to ever watch it again.

Transformers 3 - worst movie ever made.

All tansformers movies need to be banned. I'm supporting censorship here.

Was the drive soundtrack good? That's all I keep hearing about.
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

I have bad feelings regarding the 2nd remake of The Thing. Both the original and John Carpenter's remake are excellent. However, the trailer for the new reboot gives away far too much of the plot; a classic move when a studio knows it has a subpar/stinker on its hands.

I have no idea who did it.  some points it was annoying but it went with the style of the movie.  it almost gives you an 80's-early 90's vibe. the text they use for the credits mixed for the music makes an interesting feel for sure.  it's like a purple italic dirty dancing/flash dance type font or something.  the whole movie is quiet.  the main character barely ever talks really.  it's got that art film feel but still also very hollywood.  bryan cranston, brooks, etc.  movies usually make me bored these days but this and red state are the first in a while to keep my attention.   the director is definitely striving to be poetic

Drive's non-mainstream vibe is due in part to director Nicolas Winding Refn, who also helmed the wonderfully strange and brutal Bronson and Valhalla Rising. Interestingly, Refn also directed a recent episode of Masterpiece Theatre's Miss Marple.

it had a unique feel for sure.  I heard about the movie from an interview that elvis from the treatment on NPR did.  the directed sounded pretty smart.  kinda douchey, but smart.  what is Valhalla Rising? sounds so familiar.

Valhalla Rising is the hyped Danish film that Refn did between Bronson and Drive. I've seen it in the video stores in both my old and new neighbourhoods and I plan on watching it soon.

ahh, yeah I've seen that movie.  it aint bad.  kinda quiet like drive.  loud when it's important.   Valhalla Rising felt low budget indie to me.  Drive felt like it had money to spend production wise, more flashy or something.  who knows.  enjoy those.  I need to check out bronson.

I don't believe the woman's race was mentioned, but I believe she might be Jewish. Regardless, she's a total tool. All normal folks, even the ones with bad taste, walk out of movies that offend them and ask for their money back.

Drive - Liked it a lot, I can see see why it's been talked up here. I like when movies don't shy away from the extreme violence - Sexy Beast, Wild At Heart, and True Romance come to mind. Ryan Gosling was great in this quiet role, he had kind of a Deniro vibe in this where he didn't have to say much. I liked the way the music went with the film, an 80's vibe but still sounded current at the same time.

Saw this trailer before the movie. I think I remember Depp talking about a future Hunter S. Thompson movie but didn't know it was coming so soon.

Holy crow, I didn't expect this so soon either!  Thank you for mentioning Hunter S, I may have passed the trailer by, having not seen his name!

Go see Drive. It's not really like True Romance, just comparing the violence.

"X-Men First Class"--very enjoyable prequel
"Tranformers Dark of the Moon"--I found this as enjoyable as the rest of this series of movies.  It was meant as simple non-thought provoking entertainment and delivered as such.
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.
