Both Hollywood and Bollywood are favorite to me and i watch all movies. Recently i just saw Ra-One and Singham Bollywood movies. Ra-one is not nice but i must say Singham is awesome and must watch it. On the side of Hollywood, i have seen 3-Musketeers and Immortal, both are superb movies.

Bollywood movies are really on the rise. Toronto (my hometown) is a Bollywood hotbed and you probably know we hosted this year's International Indian Film Academy Awards (India's Oscars), the first time this ceremony was held outside of India. Too bad that Aishwarya Rai, arguably the world's prettiest woman, couldn't make it to the event.

As for your praise of those two Hollywood movies, you are definitely in the minority. The reviews haven't been flatering to say the least. Dumas is turning in his grave regarding the latest bombastic big budget Musketeers treatment. And methinks Henry Cavill took a big paycheck with Immortals, but also because it would get his foot into Hollywood and also he would be the film's lead actor, as it is one of his first major film roles; I've been a fan of Cavill's since The Tudors, so I hope Superman is good.  I recommend you check out the two great Richard Lester directed Musketeers films from the 1970s starring Oliver Reed, Michael York, Richard Chamberlain, Faye Dunaway, Christopher Lee, Rachel Welch, Charleton Heston, Spike Milligan and Roy Kinnear. Fantastic swashbucklers and fun as hell, comparable to The Adventures of Robin Hood, Captain Blood and The Crimson Pirate.

Speaking of movies, I watched The Ides of March the other day.

Ides is a terrific potboiler about underhanded inner workings of campaign trail politics - in this case, two Democrats battling in the primary for governor of Ohio. George Clooney plays the incumbent who seems like the real deal - a populist visionary and family man (some of the comparisons to Obama's run for president are obvious). Ryan Gosling gives an Oscar-worth performance in his portrayal of Clooney's genius press spokesman, but any of the leads could get nominated too. I can't really dissect the plot because there's plenty of intrigue and a few surprises. Let's just say that politics is a dirty game, where intent and manipulation are a way of life. Fine all-round performances from all the leads including Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti, Evan Rachael Wood, Marisa Tomei, Jeffrey Wright, Gosling and Clooney (who also directed and co-wrote).

Last night went to the sneak preview of We Bought A Zoo.  I love Cameron Crowe and I went in with high expectations and I can't say they were met but overall it was a good movie.  By the end I was definitely a fan.

I must say, Matt Damon was perfectly cast in the lead role.

Sarah's Key: a heart-wrenching and yet uplifting film about a Jewish-French family in 1945 Paris that were torn apart when they got rounded up by the French and shipped into WWII concentration camps as part of the Vel' d'Hiv Roundup in 1942. However, before the officials fully searched the family's apartment, the little daughter hid/locked her 5-year-old brother in a closet. Half the film focuses on the little girl trying to escape from the holding camp so she can get back to the apartment and unlock the door. The other half is set in the present, with Kristin Scott-Thomas playing a journalist investinging the Roundup and finds a link with her family and the very same apartment that the Jewish family lived in. This Vel' d'Hiv Roundup story really hasn't been documented much, as it is a disgraceful black mark against France regarding its complacency and role in the Holocaust. Kristin Scott-Thomas is fantastic as are the French actors and Aidan Quinn. The film really is about perservence, secrets, loyalty and family bonds with Vel' d'Hiv as the backdrop and is well worth checking out.

Super 8:  my favorite movie of 2011!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really liked this..Probably wont be my favorite overall, but probably the most fun movie of 2011. Great homage to 70's/80's Spielberg and I really enjoyed the kids, totally reminded me of Goonies, Stand By Me, Sandlot, etc.

just saw ides of march w/ clooney.  thought he was like the worstz of the entire cast for sure.  he's so overrated.  chicks just like him because he's studly.  everybody else in ides of march was bad ass.  but clooney, man, the dude loves himself.

contagion is another I just got done with it was alright.  not a good movie by any means but maybe worth watching if you like big stars and popcorn.

In other words, Clooney was perfectly cast as a ego-centric politician. He did a great job directing and co-writing the film, whether you like him or not as an actor. He got really great performances from all the cast and the film looked great too.

Hugo - The new film from Martin Scorsese. I thought it was excellent, too bad it's not doing so well in the box office. Tough film to market since it's a film that mostly adults will appreciate (especially those who are really into film) but it's kind of a children's movie too. I can imagine kids being bored through this since it doesn't have robots or cartoon animals. I opted to not see the 3-D version but might go again for that. I expect it to get some attention from the Academy Awards witch should bring it a second wind. I recommend everyone to see it!

Ive heard good things about it, and that its not really for kids as well (sort of like Where the Wild Things Are was).

This looks pretty bad ass and much better than the one a few years ago that was like futuristic GI Joes. Perfect casting as The Rock as Roadblock

A Good Old Fashion Orgy - I thought the movie was decent.  Will Forte's performance was so so so funny, but he's not a main character so he wasn't it in that much.   his part makes it worth watching.

It won't matter if you've read the book, or even if you've seen LOTR; it's like visiting old friends and some new ones too. The trailer gives nothing away, unlike every bad film with trailers that explain the entire plot.

God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.
