The final Harry potter was amazing. I can't believe it's over :'(. I started reading these when I was 7.
I started reading them when I was 11. I think I've read the first four at least 15 times each. It's been an excellent ten years. I'm seeing it on Sunday. :D I hope I don't cry. I won't....
How loud can silence get?

I imagine this will get lost amongst all the Harry Potter whatnot, but...

Available On Demand and in theaters, a fantastic documentary about Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters bus "trip" across country on Furthur.  Well done, using unseen film footage and audio made by the Pranksters themselves.  Also, real or reenacted audio of Ken Kesey's experience as an LSD lab rat.  I'd never seen LSD portrayed so realistically.  Some appearances by the Grateful Dead near the end.  Get stoned and tune in.

Click the bus to take the trip...

Just got back. Holy fuck. Grading/judging just on the movies and not comparing it to the books, this was phenomonal.

'cept, y'all make me feel old. First one came out when I was 25 and I've been waiting in line since for the books and movies. I'm not ashamed that I'm now 38 and a major HP dork.

Not a Harry Potter fan but a long time (ago) an LSD fan so not lost on me.  My husband is a huge Grateful Dead fan so this is right up our alley.  Gracias!

It was so good. I can't even describe how much I enjoyed it. It was like the end of Lost. I was so happy to see the end (even though I already knew the end), but I didn't want it to be over.

I want to watch part 1 and part 2 continually without a break on a real rainy, boring day. Splitting them up was the best idea to make money anyone ever had.

Now if we can just get JK to write a prequel series about the original Order...

emma watson turned out to be so fuckin hot.  it creeps me out because in the first ones she's like three.  now she's ripe for the poppin'.  you guys are nerds.  lord of the rings blows harry potter away.  the hobbit is going to be next level.  I'm about to watch a TS of harry potter pt. 2.  actually am looking forward to it since pt. 1 was a cocktease.

I'm not ashamed, I teared up in places. I'm probably going to hit it again this weekend. I know she's doing the Pottermore website which will be like a encylopedia on roids to flesh out more deets about her world and fill in the gaps for the 19 Years. .

Sticky - Yes she did. She's even smokin with the short hair in real life. However, you know where my love lies. Bonnie Wright is a total ginger hottie.

Finally going to see Tree Of Life tomorrow, anyone seen it yet? Malick & the Jacket in the same day?!!

God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

I saw it 2x and talked to someone today for about an hour who saw it last night. I also know people who walked out. Let me know how it goes for you.
Be the cliché you want to see in the world.

I think she said that Pottermore would have some background stories. So far she's only said that we find out a bit more about the Dursleys and Mcgonagall's life before she became a teacher.

Loved it & want to see it again. Probably my 3rd fav Malick after Badlands & Thin Red Line...

ever since part 2 I can't help but think they should have just made part 1 and 2 one gigantic movie instead of two, two hour movies.  they should have gone lord of the rings huge and made it like 3 and a half or 4hours.  they could have used some of the pace from the 2nd one in the mellow first part.  the only part I'll bitch about is the very very very end, kinda wanky.  those wizards fucked shit up on both sides tho.

obviously, I was simply pretending there was still artistic integrity left when it comes to film.  alas, what once was will never be again.

Holy absolutely yes. I've wanted more about them since book three. And you KNOW she has so many stories in her head about those characters. In my opinion, those were some of the best in the series...Sirius, Lupin, Tonks... It would really be a shame for her to never write another story about that world. Ugh...

P.S. The new movie was fantastic....except for the epilogue. Ugh. The "aging" makeup was just awful. Loved the scene in the forest, Neville's big moment, and Mrs. Weasley's offing of Bellatrix. Awesome.

The King's Cross scene in Harry's head was absolutly spot on.

^ Yes it was! It's so satisfying to read a book and then have the movie portray a scene so well. My favorite part of the whole film had to be the Snape memory segment. Serious props to Alan Rickman for nailing that.

what sucks even more than this is that there are going to be 2 twilights for the finale. I mean come on, Harry Potters biggest competition ripping them off so hard. If LOTR can do it, they all can.

MJK & KyD, the kings cross scene RULED. I have friends who werent exactly fans of the movie, but I remember so little from the book that to me the book and movie matched perfectly.

She has to write more. I feel like because she created a whole world that is so very detailed there are endless possibilities that wouldn't suck. prequels are the way to go, IMO, because Voldemort is dead and they can't make a new antagonist. A trilogy about the youth and young adult hood of James and friends and a trilogy about the Order would both rule. A book about Dumbledors youth would be awesome. They hint that there is a whole story there so muc through out the series. It has to happen!

I was pretty skeptical about the Spiderman re-boot, especially since the last one sucked, but I like that it appears theyre taking a more serious look at it, a la Nolan's Batmans.
