They're simply a great band.  Just a bunch of guys from bumblefuck, NY who make great music.  I urge everyone to check them out if you haven't already done so.  Here's a little preview....

God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Frankie's Gun has gotten a lot of plays on the local NPR station. I like that song a lot, I'll think about picking up the album.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

I'm down.  Actually, my band is doing a cover of Frankie's Gun at our next show.  Great band (them, not us).

all the hip-hop background themes that they inserted into this thing are so weird to me...I'm going to give it a few more chances but I don't like this very much comparatively. Maybe it will translate differently live?? I do like "River Jordan" though....

What a bummer! they used to be one of my favorites  :'(

I'm hopin it will as well Easy, it was hard to name a single track that was even comprable to the any track on the last 2 albums.

I feel that Ian's voice can teeter based on the strength of the songs, otherwise he has the potential to come off sounding like a bad dylan, which can be annoying. I feel like they have held up the ramshackle vocal stylings well enough until this point.

One thing I can't get behind is the atrocious cover. Worst of the year.  >:(
SERIOUSLY, WTF?

Yea it sounded to me like they were trying to create some kind of new genre, and in some ways it is new....but I still don't like it very much. I almost want to think it's a "f*ck you world" kind of album, but they don't seem to be in a position to do one of those  ::)

If you liked the last two albums like I did, have a box of kleenex with you when you listen to this new one.

Only like 2 tracks off the new rekkid.  Dissapointing since I like everything else they've done.

Seeing these guy Sunday night. Should be fun!
At my house, we call them uh-ohs.

Great gig last night, these guys sure know how to put on a fun show.  First time Ive ever encountered a fiddle player that harbors dreams of being a gansta rapper!

It warms my soul to hear the live show is still great despite the shaky new album!!! I've never been disappointed by them before live...

How did the new stuff translate?
