It's just about here, and I'm starting to ready a mixtape.

My favourite would have to be Fairytale of New York by the Pogues.  I tend to listen to that song on repeat a lot in December.

Too many to mention!!!
I love Christmas music & have heaps of CDs but it's a tiny bit early for me.
Expect me to haunt this thread like Jacob Marley again & again in the up-coming weeks  :)
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Christmas literally is "Xmas Time Is Here Again" from the MMJ xmas album. i can't have Christmas and not have that song anymore.
The river is moving. The blackbird must be flying.

I've gotta go with Nat King Cole's "The Christmas Song".

It rocks.  I mean, does anything say Christmas more than that song?

Oh Chanukah, Oh Chanukah, come light the Menorah,
Let's have a party, we'll all dance the hora.
Gather round the table, we'll give you a treat.
S'vivon to play with, Latkes to eat.
And while we are playing,
The candles are burning low.
One for each night, they shed a sweet light,
To remind us of days long ago;
One for each night, they shed a sweet light,
To remind us of days long ago;

Low's Christmas EP is a real gem, particularly "if you were born today,"  (although it's not like any traditional christmas song and is really pretty sad).

I love "o holy night" more than any other traditional christmas song, and was really happy to hear Jim singing it on that WFPK x-mas show that someone posted awhile back-nice touch with the shoe removal part!
Everyone has a photographic memory. Some don't have film.

rugbird

The Ventures  - Sleigh Ride (The whole xmas album rocks)
Brenda Lee - Im gonna lasso Santa Clause

I'm surprised no one mentioned "Father Christmas" by The Kinks.
