Quotedoes anyone know the only native american band ever to have a top 10 hit (and name of song?) this is the only question i ever ask that stumps people--

I'd guess Los Lonley Boys with How Far is Heaven, but I'm probably wrong.
Some girls mothers are bigger than others girls mothers...

Penny Lane

this might have been on VH1 Classics before that song came out--but they said REDBONE with 'come and get your love' so i won't having people guess if i'm not sure--
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

Actually, I don't even think Los Lonely Boys are Native American, I think they are Mexican.

The Village People - YMCA

"I'm able to sing because I'm able to fly, son. You heard me right..."

ooo I think I actually know this one! The band is Blackfoot, I think the song is 'Train, Train'
"...it's gonna be great -- I mean me coming back with the band and playing all those hits again"

Crispy

Jeez! Guess I need to be more diligent reading replies. Looks like Redbone was was Latino though - maybe I can get partial credit with Blackfoot having a Native American founder and a couple top 40 songs?

Quoteis Zappa the answer for number three? (if not then it must be Dulli, those are the two guys I'm obsessed with these days).  I really want to know the answer to number one since I am drawn to prolific songwriters with attitudes (kinda afraid it's wayne newton though).

I'll be thinking of a question to ask.
Zappa it was! Well played aMD  :)

Still got this one:

1) "I've outdone anyone you can name - Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Strauss. Irving Berlin, he wrote 1,001 tunes. I wrote 5,500."

I'll give you another quote by the same person:

. . . I'm not going to be joining ZZ Top. You know they can't play my stuff. It's too complicated.
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

What Beatles single was returned in masses because consumers "thought" there was a defect in the vinyl?
IT'S ALL FUCKIN' CHEESE!!

I'd guess "Tomorrow Never Knows"...it was the first one that was a little "out there".

I was going to gues Revolution 9 but I don't think it was a single so I'll guess "A Day in the Life"

I only got seventh-grade education, but I have a doctorate in funk, and I like to put that to good use.
