Quote I think what made it so difficult it that dude's SO delusional?

Drugs might have had something to do with that.

Anyway, here's another quote, might be difficult I don't know.
Hint: it's not a musician

"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side."

QuoteI googled it because i was curious.  He would've been my like 100th guess.  I think what made it so difficult it that dude's SO delusional?
IThoughtTheFunk&TheDancingThingWouldHaveBeenABigGiveAwaybutYeah5,500Songs?!!
NotSoSureAboutThatThough ;D

Anyway,TheQuestion'sStillOutThereFolks:

WhoSaid:

[highlight]"I've outdone anyone you can name - Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Strauss. Irving Berlin, he wrote 1,001 tunes. I wrote 5,500."

. . . I'm not going to be joining ZZ Top. You know they can't play my stuff. It's too complicated.

I only got seventh-grade education, but I have a doctorate in funk, and I like to put that to good use.

God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

After quote 3, I was thinking George Clinton, but with that last quote, my official guess will be the Godfather of Soul: James Brown? He's got enough moxie to pull off those quotes...

Bingo!

Alright, I guess I need to put one up now....off the top of my head, this is one I remember stumping me one time. It might be easy for you pros, might've already been asked on here, but here goes:

From Cream's album Disraeli Gears, what does the song title (and acronym) SWLABR stand for?

This one is kind of like, either you know it or you don't, and guessing is kind of tough. If nobody knocks this one out right away, I'll put up some multiple choice options.
"I'm able to sing because I'm able to fly, son. You heard me right..."

She Was Like A Bearded Rainbow
"...it's gonna be great -- I mean me coming back with the band and playing all those hits again"

QuoteShe Was Like A Bearded Rainbow

;D That lasted all of 4 minutes!! Actually, one word is incorrect, but that's close enough (Was is Walks). Good job dude, you're up!
"I'm able to sing because I'm able to fly, son. You heard me right..."

Crispy

Finally I get one (almost) right! I didn't know that about 'Walks'.
I'll be back soon with a new question.
"...it's gonna be great -- I mean me coming back with the band and playing all those hits again"

Crispy

Some serious Cream trivia:
What song was the B side of the single of 'Anyone For Tennis'?
"...it's gonna be great -- I mean me coming back with the band and playing all those hits again"

TheBigChicken

Was it Tales Of Brave Ulysses
the fruit bats love makin' made all the kids cry

Crispy

QuoteWas it Tales Of Brave Ulysses
No sir, but "Anyone For Tennis" was the next single to be released after "Strange Brew" / "Tales of Brave Ulysses".
Another hint - this tune was played at the 2005 Cream reunion shows but never played live before that.
"...it's gonna be great -- I mean me coming back with the band and playing all those hits again"

Crispy

Giveaway hint: They closed down their shop...selling atonal apples, amplified heat,
and a collection of dog legs and feet.
"...it's gonna be great -- I mean me coming back with the band and playing all those hits again"

Penny Lane

this is an easy fast one--of the 5 original members of Oasis--how many are left??
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

I'm gonna guess 2.

And since there are no more Cream fans around, the answer to mine is Pressed Rat And Warthog.
"...it's gonna be great -- I mean me coming back with the band and playing all those hits again"

Penny Lane

yes just the brothers left of the original lineup
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

Quoteyes just the brothers left of the original lineup

Interesting...I thought those two couldn't stand each other, but I guess the rest of the band couldn't stand them! ;)

the original drummer-no one liked--
original bass player (guigsy) stunk--
original rhythm-bonehead--wasn't that great either and got sick of the 2 of them
alan white (drummer) has been w/them since 1996, though-the longest

i think w/them it's more for show--whereas you have chris and rich (robinson)-who never talk to each other for real--sad
