Well, I just brought the box of old albums up from the basement last night and haven't listened to these is ages, so I've been sampling, yet to listen to a complete album.

Next...

Styx - Paradise Theater (1980) cause I got too much time on my hands!

Breaking in that new turntable. Awesome!

So much music, so little time.

You're right - it's a fantastic album.  The combination of Grant and Midlake works really well.

Good lawdy, nuggs!!! You are tha man!!  I still haven't caught up with all the links to music you posted months ago!! Since I'm sitting out of the DSO show tonight (which either started 2 minutes ago or will be starting shortly) I think I'll give this a good heady listen!  Thanks for sharing yet again!!

Cool. Glad you enjoyed it. Best shows always seemed to Baby Blue encores.  The Estimated and the Space>Dew were "it" moments for me. Went back the next Spring and saw them at Hampton and was hooked. Check out the Estimated at this show. Bobby is crazy wound up. The delays on his voice during his freak-out absolutely spun my ass all over that place.

The WHO - 1970-07-07 - Tanglewood, Lenox, MA

This is an unbelievable recording, which includes an entire performance of Tommy. Found it here, an absolute treasure trove of live classic rock shows.

Been listening to Mercury Rev alot over the last week or so. Yerself Is Steam and Deserters Songs in particular. Both awesome records. Any Rev fans here?
At my house, we call them uh-ohs.

Love a bit of Rev.   Only have the three-album run from DS->SM, though.

Currently listening to White Denim - D.  Outstanding.

You should definately get Yerself is Steam.  Sounds nothing like the Mercury Rev you'd be familar with. Its a great record.
