Does any Mountain Jam veteran know if this thing sells out?

i've never been to Mtn. Jam but i am pretty positive that it won't sell out. also, valerie found out that if you buy a friday - sunday pass .. it is like $15 or so cheaper than buying individuals for saturday & sunday. that said, i still haven't bought mine.

just read on FB that there are round trip buses leaving from NYC for $20.

I don't think it can sell out. There is plenty of room on the Mt for everyone. Never heard of people getting turned away. U can usually buy a day pass right at the door. I will prob get one for Sunday in advance just in case though.

Thanks - one more question.... is VIP the only way to get on the rail or close to the band?   By the looks of the map on the mountainjams website, there's a reserved pit section in front of each stage.

I didn't have VIP and got up front for every good band I wanted to see.   It is a very wide setup...really easy to move around and get up front.  I think VIP is a waste at Mtn Jam.

The VIP pit only takes up about a third of the rail in front of the main stage so you can absolutely get up front with GA tics.  You will, of course, have to get there pretty early because people camp out on the rail just like any other fest. 


The music started right at noon everyday last year.  My impression is Thursday this year will begin at about 6 PM and the other days will be noon.
