Maybe we can get some traction with an online petition for a JacketFest in Kentucky.
Thinking the week before or after Bonnaroo?  Oh, I think I found the perfect spot, too, see link below(use Sat view)! Could also be a boost for the Eastern Ky economy! Who's with me?

A real genuine fest curated by the boys would be the best thing ever, just think of the possibilities.  They have so many friends that are great musicians that they could put together a lineup of epic proportions.   M Ward, Bright Eyes, Ben Sollee, Daniel Martin Moore, Preservation Hall, Erykah Badu, The Roots and many more too!  Plus we could throw in a MOF and/or solo Jim show.   I can't think of anything better than that!

Well I guess if JacketFestWest can be in Colorado, JFE can be in Kentucky. ;)

I just want to know if anyone here ever took a geography class ?  :D  ;D

I totally agree... Wilco's Solid Sound fest is along those lines and probably the best fest I've ever been too.. it would so sweet if MMJ would do something like it of their own..

Direction is all relative my friends. Besides, where else could it be held other than KY.

I don't care where/when/what they do, but if they *did* hold a festival, I would hope it would be a camping weekend thing and not a hotel thing

I agree MrB. If they held a fest, Kentucky would have to be the place, imo.

It's just if that's East, where the hell am I? Far East maybe? ;)

Agree, which is why I think this is an ideal location. I was at a Blues Fest there, at Cave Run State Park, and thought it would be perfect. Not sure how many people it could accommodate, but a few thousand at least. Lots of camping and hotels nearby, and a beauty of a lake to boot!

A Jacket Festival in Kentucky would be absolutely awesome!!  I definitely think they should consider it.
And all that ever mattered will some day turn back to batter, like a joke.
