We asked James about his connection to "Empty Bed Blues:"

I was going through this period of just having been injured and spending a long time in an empty bed recovering. I felt like the portions of life when you're not in love or when you're not experiencing romance or some kind of connection at that time had been so long for me. I felt like I was in an empty bed so much and the lyrics of that song really resonated. Shortly after the injury experience though — I fell in love ... and had this new person that I was and am really in love with ... so it was new then and in the beginning phases of a long-distance relationship ... when they're so far away, but you want them near you so very bad. You're in your empty bed suffering and you want them close and you are really thinking about it with everything you have ... and you believe that if they'd just come see you soon ... that everything could be A-OK ... that they could save your life somehow just by being there ... and then they do.

Um..that song's totally ruined for me now..Great...   ;)

After 5 is a good start, and I'll plan on hitting the city by then.

Awhile back a woman I work with told me she had a connection at Union Transfer in Philly if I ever needed a favor. A few weeks ago I mentioned the New Multitudes show, told her I had tix but asked her if she could get me some passes. Today she came to my office and told me she was gonna see her friend this weekend, then kinda stammered and said "Look, if I do this you aren't gonna freak out or be weird about it, right?" After I assured her she wouldn't be embarrassed she said she'd get back to me. Keeping my fingers crossed...

The Birchmere show has been sold out for weeks and we have only 4 forum members plus guests with exactly one week to go?  Really?
C'mon you lurkers.
Outside doors open at 5 at which time you get your position # and then you can hang out at the bar for an hour and wait for the 6PM opening of the inside doors to get your seats.  So we have a relaxed hour to have a meet-up at the bar.

this will be my first show at the Mayan.  fun fact:  in the movie, "rock n roll high school" the theatre that Riff camps in front of to buy Ramones tix is the Mayan. 

(now i have to watch RnR High School again  ;D)

this will be my first show at the Mayan.  fun fact:  in the movie, "rock n roll high school" the theatre that Riff camps in front of to buy Ramones tix is the Mayan. 

(now i have to watch RnR High School again  ;D)

Hahahahaha! ;D I would dye! Sharon just wouldn't take a no for an answer. Now looking back Im glad I did, but at the time I was petrified.  This will also me my first show at the Mayan. Thanks for the fun fact. I haven't seen that movie, but i"ll have to add it to my netflix queue and check it out.  ;)
