Edit: looking at the lineup Bassnectar and Sleigh Bells play the same night. I know he has done remixes of some of their stuff so there's a chance they play together...

Bassnectar also tweeted about his desire to play with Sleigh Bells the day the lineup was released, so it definitely sounds like it'll happen.
some get stoned, some get strange, sooner or later it all gets real.

For soundcheck it says, "All packages must be picked up at the venue box office on the night of the show." so i'm thinking we can pick up our stuff on Friday. If that is true all i really need is pit and autographs and am willing to give someone my soundcheck pass, just bring clear tape with you if it is a wristband. never been to a sound check but don't want to pull an all nighter for it and be zombie'd for the show.
I think "Night of show" is probably a standard form comment, and it really means "day of show," as in the morning of the soundcheck.  However, there was also something along the way (maybe in the confirmation e-mail for ordering the bundle) that said part of the order would be mailed to your address, and part picked up will-call.  So I'm guessing the poster gets sent to your home (that way you don't have to lug it around the festival), and the wristband for the soundcheck and the pit gets picked up at will-call.

I wouldn't expect anything mailed, since the package is only $40.  In the past, posters were given out at the soundcheck.

I would also think the posters and wristbands might be available sometime Friday at the box office, as the wristband serves as a way to gain entry through a VIP entrance for all 3 days.  You can also use the Roll Call membership card, but if you have folks without memberships in your group, they'd need the writstband.

For those who've lost their membership card, we're nearing the end of the first year of Roll Call, so I'd expect we'll have to renew our membership and get a new card in the package, at least those of us who joined right away, when they were taking pre-orders for Circuital.

The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

So any guesses as to the new addition tomorrow? Bobbing heads and blowing minds?

I haven't decided if "bobbing heads and blowing minds" is a clue or not...

I'm hoping its either Delta Spirit or Dawes or both.

I also feel like Friday night needs a real headliner.. Neil Young????

Good point John on the wristbands being made available Friday for Roll Callers, and those in their group that they got bundles for. I'd agree they'll probably be made available Friday.

As for the posters, they were handed out upon leaving the pit for the LA soundcheck, and leaving the venue for SF. I'm thinking it'll be the same this time.

I haven't decided if Bassnectar is as big as it gets. Is there a confirmed "blank" headlining spot? It seems like it'd be an awfully big exclusion to not have at the initial announcement.

TSarge

Yeah... I don't think their is a "blank" spot there. Apparently last year they added Smashing Pumpkins pretty late? Am I right? Or am I thinking of a different festival? Anyway, I would have considered that a "big" add-on.

e_wind

yeah, last year the top billed band was Smashing Pumpkins and they were added very last, over a month after the initial line up. the initial lineup wasnt announced until later... maybe in april or so. the pumpkins were added pretty damn near time for the festival.
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

The fact that they are just announcing 1 band tomorrow makes me think it might be kind of a big deal.

oistheone

I'm not getting my hopes up, but hey, any bonus is a good bonus.

I'm betting it'll be a solid local act. Even if they do have another big act to drop on us, would they really play that card only a week after the initial lineup announcement?

The only reason I can think of is ticket sales weren't up to par.

I was thinking the same thing.  Might as well dream big.

Luna Moth

Just got 3 more of these soundcheck things, wondering how many of these autographed posters the band actually wants to sign..

Well, looks like Edward Sharpe is out the window. Just announced they are playing Latitude festival that weekend. Along with Alabama Shakes. And Dawes. Thumbs down.

Here is the whole Latitute festival lineup.    Agreed that I was holding out wishful thinking for Dawes or Alabama Shakes.   Also a few others there I wouldn't mind seeing someday.

Oooh, they have authors at this latitude festival. Mark Haddon and the one and only Andrew Loog Oldham, plus poets!! This English teacher may have to sell her Forecastle tickets and go there.... as if. But I would like to hear those two authors give readings. I can only imagine the stories Andrew Loog Oldham can tell. They don't have Wild Flag, I noticed. Perhaps there is still hope that they will play Forecastle.
