Wow, I just booked our flights and bought the Newport tickets on Friday, didn't even know this was coming.  Wilco is one of my top 3 bands.  Only problem is our time is somewhat limited and Friday was deemed our sightseeing day.  May have to miss this.

Doesn't look promising for them to stick around and play at the festival:

From my past experience with 3 fests, everything that weekend sells out.  There are so many people around and you can barely get into the bars at night, they are packed.  If there is a show you want to go to get tix now, the three Deer Tick shows will be sure to sell out.  The Wilco announcement makes this the Super Bowl of music for me and Jahmazed!

I grabbed tix for the Wilco show (of course...will only be my 11th show in 16 months).

NFF just announced two-day passes are sold out and there are only a handful of Saturday tix left. Zoiks!

I caught two newport acts, Honeyhoney and Gark Clark Jr., yesterday at Coachella and they were both great. 

GC is one seriously bad ass guitar player, and also is quite a crooner when he wants to be.

Oh that must have been sweet! I  can't wait to see GC!  Too bad we are only doing Saturday :(  I am hoping to catch him in June in AC.  Coachella must be amazing!! Such a gorgeous setting :)
