There goes trying to change the subject...
I don't believe any of these places have a butt chugging section.
I think we are WAY past the point of no return here. If you are still hanging with us by now, bring your own tubing and Franzia because we've got you on the bracket to compete! But seriously, thanks for all of the info about the local restaurants. Many of us are coming from far and wide. This will be my first trip to the Port Chester area. Since we'll have some down time during the day, are there any other points of interest in the area?

Yes...Thanks Adam. We have a Bartaco near my town and it's a great place to hang, drink and eat a couple of tacos.

I think once we get over our silly remarks...we'll need to pick a place to meet up pre & post show.

Manhattan - easily accessible via Metro North
See the big tree, Rockefeller Center, Macy's windows decorated for x-mas, museums, and so much more.

Hartford CT isn't far...but don't go, because it sucks.

Exactly! We can take the train into Grand Central and see the Xmas tree at Rockefeller Center one day if you're up for it. Short trip and once you're into Grand Central, you can walk anywhere. That area  (Macy's up to Rockefeller Ctr) is kind of crazy this time of year but it's fun.

edited: oops Fully-just read the thread above---NOT MUCH in Port Chester...Using hotel time to catch up on sleep (and butt chugg apparently??)...probably go into NYC one day...maybe there's a movie theater there? My old boss just told me there's a good BBQ place called 'Q' near the venue.
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

Painter

you guys could also check out fairfield county. Stamford, South Norwalk, Greenwich, New Canaan, Darien.

Bigsky

I won't be staying in the area, but wouldn't you guys just hang in PC and stalk all the boys from MMJ?

Sorry GO4IT. Apparently I was in a crankyass mood. My apologies for being awful. I do want to go into NYC at least one day, Penny. I was looking at the area where we are going on googlestreetviee. Not too much around. Lots of car repair shops pretty close to the hotel. Port Chester seems to have a little more life to it. Luckily, we are close. Y'all may want to make sure you have earplugs. It looks like the train runs right by the Marriott where we are staying. I might have to seriously consider the butt chugging now so I'll sleep.

Penny Lane

methinks there aren't a lot of pre-game places (according Headhunter and others) so there will be lots of fun and drinks on the sly while standing in the cold in line in front of the venue? FLASKS everyone...and rice crispy treats...

and yeah, stalking the band is always a nice activity ..so i've heard..
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

It's going to awkward stalking the band and having to explain why some of us have Franzia colostomy bags attached. As if stalking isn't awkward enough...

i've had to explain many awkward things to the band over the years...hanging from trees...trying to roofie them, showing up at family gatherings; the dedication of a colostomy bag might just get me a lifetime supplies of setlists...or arrested..either way..any press is good press?

One only wonders what you've had to explain to Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley...

Thanks Fully for getting us back on track, this thread was starting to put me to sleep.
My heart can't wait to meet you on the other side.

I don't know...I could see Patrick being a hardcore butt chugger

Public service announcement:  If your PARTY plans for Port Chester allow you the time, energy, or general human composure for sight seeing, you're doing it all wrong.
My heart can't wait to meet you on the other side.

I'm not sure I want to be in the same vicinity as any of you freaks (except for Mr. Whippy and Flake, as weather may dictate I need a ride to this throw down).
God sure baked a lot of fruitcake, baby.

Whippy is the bc in pc ringleader. I've had to talk him down from the bleach. I'm still not convinced that he's over the bleach yet! Be careful on that ride!

You obviously don't want a "I survived the Butt Chugging of Port Chester" t-shirt...
