It's so trendy to love H&O now..but I've always loved them...especially that song...I wanted to be named Sara...(my aunt is Sara with no 'h' just like that). *kudos SaraBB.

I'll be happy to start calling you Sayra - which is how my mom says Sara.

I'd love a Springsteen cover. I never gave it much chance before, but hearing Jim's comments after seeing Bruce at the YUM, I'm thinking it might be possible.

I think they'd sound great covering a number of Bruce tunes, and I'd love to see them do Growing Up, Because The Night, Youngstown, Downbound Train, Adam Raised A Cain, (or anything off of Darkness for that matter), and dare I say maybe even a little Rosalita will come out for NYE!

This would be AWESOME. You know, Jim has played I'm On Fire on his own before...

No, I didn't know that! That one wouldn't be high on my  request list, but I'd take it.

"Where's Jim going?"

YES! I've always wanted them to do New Speedway Boogie, feel like it fits them perfectly.
his arms were thin, and off into the night they ran

NSB just seems like a song they could really have some fun with. Agree about really just wanting to hear something new in the cover department. Really hope they don't do the "Celebration" thing for the kick off of the new year. Just seems so cliche to play that tune. Let's get weird and obscure this year.
Oh shit, run!

What about guest appearances?

I saw this on the PC possible setlist topic, but how amazing would "Fearless" by Pink Floyd be? Jim would kill the vocals which are somewhat suited for him anyway as well as the dream like journey the music brings you on. This or "Rich Girl" :)
Mona Lisa must'a had the highway blues, you can tell by the way she smiles.

That would be a great choice. I actually always felt like Where to Begin had very similar vibe to Fearless. But maybe it is just me.

No Surrender would be an amazing cover, but I would take any Bruce cover, especially if Carl could handle one of those Clarence solos on the sax!

I always thought it was cool how the review from the Dutch paper compared Jim to Bruce in one of the reviews in the "This is not America" documentary.

Here it is, in its entirety, our cover of ELO's Telephone Wire

I'm going to use my standard answer for whenever somebody asks what I want to hear MMJ cover:  Cortez the Killer.
some get stoned, some get strange, sooner or later it all gets real.

CountSA

I know everyone is listing "new" covers but I would love love love to hear "Oh Sweet Nothing" again.

Here's one cover I would love to see - Moonlight Mile by the Rolling Stones.  Take a moment to imagine what Carl's slide playing would sound like on that.
My heart can't wait to meet you on the other side.

If I'm gonna go with a stones cover, its gotta be "No Expectations", imagine the slidework on that. Jim would just put so much soul in that heavy song too! Bo's key's at the end. wowza. I get the chills thinking about it.

This will be my 4th MMJ show and we're totally psyched. I always thought Evil Urges was MMJ trying on different acts, and "Highly Suspicious" was Jim channeling Prince. So with that as preamble, "1999" would be a choice I'd like to see what they can do with.

Love the ideas posted by some of y'all, especially "Cortez" and "Moonlight Mile."
