Already, up on Stub Hub for $80 too, unbelievable.  Please 1 or 2 tickets would be greatly appreciated.

What the hell?  Tix went faaaast!  Got one.  Tried for two, got denied, went back to try for one & apparently lucked out...  Very hard to believe that this is sold out for real.  Anyone who didn't get tix, keep trying.  There's always a chance that people will "time out", or credit cards get denied or whatever.  I'll keep checking back as well.

Can't believe how fast both roll call and ticketmaster sales went!

Not positive I can go to the Sleep No More Show yet, but I have a ticket.

Looking to make some sort of exchange for a Brooklyn ticket if anyone has an extra and wants to go to the Sleep No More show. I called and they said you can change the name on the reservation.

Mercury Lounge.

Got on line at 1145.  2 people in front.  nonscalpers.

Got to the counter around 12:05 as the lady was a few minutes late.  Was nervous they were sold out because I couldn't pull anything on my phone while I waited.

Not sure if they hold a certain number for box office sales though.

Ugh, I'm away on vacation and totally lost track that tickets went on sales today.  If anyone has two extra by chance, I'll but them.  Thanks!

I'm still totally aggravated about this......anyone think it's because TicketBastard was involved?

YES!!   No doubt ticket agencies and robo-purchasing was involved.  No way fans buy and put on stub hub right away.

Yes, Trish, it has to do with Ticketmaster being involved in a way, due to the fact that with ticket buying over the internet, anyone anywhere in the world has an equal shot at getting tickets.  Thus, for any high demand event, there are lots of couch scalpers, not to mention professional scalpers with bot programs that punch through orders much faster than humans can.

Makes me miss the days when you could wait out in line at ticket outlets.  I appreciate the convenience of online ticket buying, and I do sometimes buy tickets for shows not in my local area, but it seems wrong with today's system, people local to a show have no priority for getting tickets to shows in their area.

Now, for anything that will sell out instantly, it's just the random luck of whose orders get through the system.  This current system doesn't allow for people who really want the tickets to be able to put out the effort to ensure they get them, and that sucks.

Anytime tix are gone in a flash, my suspicions  about  TicketBastard are raised. This time however I wouldn't put the whole blame on them. I'm sure they played their usual part, but  I really think the small amount of tix available played a part too.

We had a similar thing with the Philly tix, and that was through TicketFly. Tix were gone before the clock hit 12:01. I was  online, and the phone. Had a phone rep no more than 30 seconds after twelve, and all the tix were in carts. By 12:01 they were gone. I know someone who scored a few minutes later online, but we both think they just timed it right with someone who either had tix, and timed out, or their card was denied. I know I kept trying for about 15 minutes in case something like that happened, but no such luck for me.

Eric, that's why I wish sometimes that for really high demand shows like this there is some kind of priority given to people in the local area.  With such a small amount of tickets available, giving local people priority would at least curtail some degree of scalping involved.  Some people travel for shows, but most are from the local area and it's not really fair that people anywhere have an equal shot at tickets.

Making the tickets will call only also helps, in that people can't buy them with the intent of selling them.  Will call/paperless tickets have their own hassles, but as a whole I think are desirable for very high demand situations due to how well they curb scalping.  Without the will call thing, there really is no way to ensure the person that buys the tickets is the one that will actually use them.

I agree Jon. I'm not a big fan of will call only, except with this type of limited ticket show. Keep them in the hands of the real fans who definitely want to go.

The paperless system would work well too, as long as they enforced the part where you need to show ID, and have it match the name on the credit card used for purchase. If it's just show the card, get it scanned, and you're in, that leaves too much room for scalpers to weasel their way in. Prepaid, and gift cards don't have  a name on them, and are easily passed on.

The McKitrick show seems like a great example of how to do a show with limited tickets.  Pay for a "reservation", have your name on the list, show up at a certain time with ID, and you're in. They keep it in house with no need for Ticketmaster, and while I'm sure scalpers could figure out a way to make some $$$ if they wanted, I'm not sure it's worth their hassle. I'm curious to see how their entrance policy actually works for McKitrick. If it goes the way I think it will, perhaps a lesson could be learned from them.

I haven't caught up on all the posts above... I just have one thing to say:

I NEED A TICKET!!

My friend was unable to jump through all the hurdles that Ground ctrl and then Ticketmaster put in front of him.

Please message me if you have an extra.

I just broke down and bought a ticket on Stub Hub.  Never had to do that for a JJ or MMJ show before.

Sad that it came to that but I NEED to be there and it seems that not too many folks on the forum got tix.  I doubt many of you have any extras.

Well now that this is behind me,  PSYCHED FOR JIM IN BROOKLYN!!
