2 simple, probably stupid questions:

i checked out this place with google street view.....where does one park?  is there room behind the building?  on a nearby street?

and do they serve adult beverages?  i'm assuming they do since it's strictly over 21.

There is a driveway right beside Grimey's with a sign that says The Basement. Go down it and you'll be behind all those buildings. Park back there. Yes, there is alcohol.
thank you for the info.  about time to hit the road, looking forward to a special evening.

I probably won't be able to get to the 12 South Taproom until 7 or so, but I look forward to seeing y'all there!

From a more practical perspective, is there a good way of identifying forum members in public places without me wandering around like a lost duck and asking every table if they are "the" group and only getting blank stares or mistaken for a solicitor? I'm certain I've run in to several of you at numerous MMJ shows or soundchecks, but I figured I'd ask. Looking forward to meeting y'all at the 12 South Taproom!

e_wind

Dap... You shouldn't have a problem identifying us. We'll be the group of people that look like we don't "belong" together. ie we range in all different ages, lifestyles, etc etc. though, this will be a smaller group. To make it easier, im currently wearing khaki pants, a green coat, and have long hair. Ill be with fully and scosby at least, and I imagine others.

Dapgeetah, just look for the people with stars in their eyes, who look like they're anticipating having a fucking awesome time.
"...it's gonna be great -- I mean me coming back with the band and playing all those hits again"

dapguitar

Right on! Me at 12 South to random stranger, "Excuse me, do you have stars in your eyes? I must have you confused with someone else".

E_wind: Funny you should say that about the eclectic mix of people. One of my best friends, who I have been to MANY MMJ shows with and is also on this forum, always says that one of the most special things about MMJ is that people of all different ages and backgrounds all come together at MMJ shows. There isn't a specific "type" of fan (let's be honest...as much as I like Phish and Widespread Panic, it's pretty easy to identify the folks who are going to those shows!). It's the magic of MMJ's music that is able to reach anybody. I look forward to hanging out with you in a couple hours!

Yakeroo and I, along with a few other individuals, were waiting hours in the cold hoping for a miracle before Mr. Grimey finally let us in. The staff seemed like nice people and I got a high five from Jim on his way to the stage! I'll just add that to the high five I got at Forecastle and the finger touch I got in Alpharetta during Touch Me Pt.1

Great show, but I may add the crowd was terrible. A bunch of drunk people acting like they're at a Rascal Flatts concert. They were moving back and forth from their spot all night, bumping into people, spilling beers, texting, and looking up stuff on their cell phone all while Jim was performing. These folks need to stay home and let the real hardcore fans attend in their spot. There were even Roll Callers on the list that didn't show up

That's pretty upsetting to hear about people attending such a small, special show that so many people would have been so thrilled to be a part of.
My heart can't wait to meet you on the other side.
