Well, that's a different look.
I guess Jim is gearing up for St Patty's Day

Well before Wayne brought Jim out, he was telling the crowd Justin Timberlake was going to sing with him. Alas, all we got was Jim, how unfortunate for us

I'm going to throw this out there, but I really didn't care for the "duet" of Do you Realize? Mainly due to the fact that Jim really didn't sing anything but a few ooohs and ahhs, if that... Jim did creepily hold the baby though and Pat its head.

Which brings me to my next point, what the hell did I witness during the Flaming Lips show? A matrix baby (baby with tubes plugged in it), the tubes glowing, Wayne crying with the baby. I don't know what statement he was making, but I don't think I understood it or had enough drugs/booze in my system to begin to understand it. I dig the Flaming Lips, but the new album he played kind of sucked. I'm going to stop ranting now, mainly because I am still processing the things I witnessed.
Mona Lisa must'a had the highway blues, you can tell by the way she smiles.

not the best quality by any stretch but i found this:

Flaming Lips and Jim James - Do You Realize SXSW
some get stoned, some get strange, sooner or later it all gets real.

korief

Do you think its like a green screen and later they'll CGI Justin Timberlake's face onto Jim James's body? Not even for release, just for their own shits and giggles?

JIM JAMES LIVE SINGING OF THE MOTHER AGAIN

could you imagine if Jim and Prince played together!!! (need mind blowing emoticon image here)

After hearing Kevin Smith talk about working with Prince, I'm sure playing with Prince would be a completely surreal experience, and not necessarily in a good way.

Babe, let's get one thing clear, there's much more stardust when you're near.

How was the Waterloo autograph session?
Here it is, in its entirety, our cover of ELO's Telephone Wire

I still never got an Aquarium Drunkard setlist or the Auditorium Shores setlist.    Anyone?
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

I posted it while it was going on. I thought they would play more, but they stopped with Dear One. You can add the duet of "Do You Realize???" with The Flaming Lips.

How was the Waterloo autograph session?

I wish I knew. I live 3 blocks from Waterloo and couldn't force myself if I tried. By Saturday morning, my frivolity during SXSW caught up with me and I was checked out.

I would be curious to know if anyone went.

Aquarium Drunkard show was the album straight through, in all it's glory, and no encore.  It was after 2 when the show ended.

The autograph session was AWESOME...aside from nearly hyperventilating from nervousness.  He showed up earlier than scheduled and allowed photos too.  He was so nice and humble and just put off such a positive energy.

Very cool and sounds like exceeded expectations.  I imagine it was very crowded but worth the wait.

So did anyone else grab a original Jim drawing from the heart breakers show? My friends and I each got one. I have been meaning to post pictures of them on here. Gonna take mine to have it framed this weekend.
