Has anyone else had a hard time renewing their Roll Call membership?  When I sign in, it says, "Welcom Back," but I do not see any changes over not being logged in.  My membership is over a year old, and I never received the Americanarama pre-sale password.  I'd like to renew!

Hello,  I've been sitting on the fence for a few years debating if roll call is for me.  I don't have the ability to play vinyl, so I'm wondering if now is the time to sign up or wait until they announce the new album, tour etc?  It would be nice to get into the sound check at Forecastle etc., if they do these again.

Thank you for any advice and help.

Well, if it makes it any easier for you, there is no way to sign up for Roll Call at the moment. They sold a 2014/2015 membership until early to mid-December (when they said they'd sell it until 12/31, but ran into stock problems). When people complained that they couldn't get in by the 12/31 deadline set by Ground Ctrl, they offered those people a brief membership so that they could get the vinyl. Those with the brief membership will have to sign up again whenever they offer the 2015 Roll Call, which should be coming eventually (maybe when they announce the tour?). So, your only option is to wait at the moment.

This Roll Call membership stuff is always confusing. I purchased the deluxe 2014/2015 bonus Membership last year and I think I'm still owed one more "end of year vinyl." Now they have a new poster/shirt. Do I have sign up again to get the new shirt/poster? Why are there two Roll Call memberships for 2015?

This confuses the hell out of me as well - I thought we were good for the 2015 calendar year????

Roll Call is always confusing. I had to sign up for the limited Roll Call so I assume I'm going to be signing up again for the $40 package to get the vinyl and poster and junk. Whatever. I love MMJ. Just hope Roll Call is better in the future.

Outside of the merch, Roll Call is really only great for early entrance to a GA show. Early sales of tickets is bullshit, as all three times I purchased them I got mediocre seats to shows where the general sales allowed for easy purchase of killer seats. If you get the digital Roll Call you don't even get an early entry lanyard.

I renewed roll call today, primarily for the early admission at shows w GA tix.  The dowload is nice, I have enough T shirts and posters and yeah, unfortunately getting tix early doesn't mean getting the best seats
was some shakin' and some record playin'

Not to mention access to Soundchecks, and not having to worry about a poster line!

But it can't hurt to try, and then let the seats go if they aren't great and then go for the regular sale.  Roll Call was great for seats at MPP in 2012, just decent for MPP 2011, and awesome for Louisville Palace Theater 2010.

Same with the Mann show in 2011, and 2012. Great in 11, not so much in 12.

Here's hoping 15 yields some great seats.
