we haven't figured out our arrival yet .. i'd like to get up there early and hang out with ya'll but i'm unsure of valerie's work situation.

Try and get on it soon as Amtrak rates have gone up. My fare was $50 rt when I booked it, and as of today my train up there is up to $39.  I think the fares out of NY Penn are still pretty cheap though, just don't know for how much longer.

I might be fooling myself, but I don't think tickets to this show are going to be hard to get.   I apologize in advance if it sells out, but I'm blissfully stress-free and waiting til closer.

Any chance you'll be adding your name to the Roll Call, Kyle?

It's gonna have to be work dependent, but I'm thinking I really want to make this.   I definitely can't do the next day here in MA.   Between the setlists and that roll call list, sounds like a fantastic evening!   I'll let you know next week and either start working on meet-up plans or ignore the thread because it'll be too painful to watch.

I recommend this place for the preshow meetup.  It's an easy 0.5 mile walk from the venue and has decent food & drink.  I went there before seeing Rush and Neil Young shows at the indoor arena last year.

Sounds good to me Bill.     What time are you planning on getting there?  Barring any delays, I hope to be at the Holiday Inn by 1:00.  I know we're going to want to line up as early as needed for the rail, but definitely want to do some type of pre show meetup.

Doors are at 4:30.  I also want to  get the rail.  Maybe preshow from 1-2:30 and then head over to the venue and get in line?  I'm just guessing here about how early we would need to line up to get the rail.  I assume we can't get early entry with our RC stuff for this tour.

Note that GA floor (standing) limited to 2000.  Wristbands upon request, first come first served.  I have no further details.
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Thanks for the heads up John.

I'd imagine we'd be there early anyway, but knowing this makes it a certainty.

Curious to hear some thoughts on the change of venues. Any info on ticket sales? I'm  figuring slow sales played into the switch, but that's just an educated guess based on seeing this happen over the years.

I was really looking forward to an outdoor show in a minor league ballpark.  Haven't been to one since the days of Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City.  and this park looked to be pretty sweet being right on the sound.

The only pluses I can take from this are no worries about the weather, and the rail probably being closer to the stage than in an outdoor stadium type setup.

I think it means the sales are brisk for this show.  Here are the capacities of the two venues:

Ballpark at Harbor Yard - 5300
Webster Bank Arena - 10,000

Yes, but those Harbor Yard numbers are for just the reserved seats for a ball game, no? With a stage setup in centerfield, and the whole field ga,I'm sure that number would be close to double that just on the field.

The Springsteen ballpark shows I went to last summer with that type of setup had a ga pit that approached 5,000, then had reserved seated sections three deep behind it, and stopping at the infield. I'd bet there was at least 8,000-10,000 people on the field altogether. The only real difference in capacity to that would be the seats not on the field. This being a minor league park it has far fewer at 5,300 than a 40,000 seat major league park.
