So apperently I screwed the pooch, according to ground control!
I wasn't an English major, but the way that reads is: current roll callers as of August 17th (which I was) should receive a copy of the 7". Now they're telling me I had to renew my already active roll call membership by August 17th, even though it wasn't going to expire for months. Basically buy my membership twice. And if I renew my membership now in order to receive the 2014 end of year gift, I will have a another 2013 membership and would then have to buy another membership when the 2014s are offered if I wanna get the 2014 poster, laminate, etc..

Is anyone else confused. I know it's only $30 but I kinda feel like I'm gettin the shaft.

I have excellent reading skills and that's how I read it too. My membership didn't run out until two months later.

1) So did you get a 7", Fully?


2) And, Bartel, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I don't think your getting one.
I read it the same way you did, because THATS HOW IT'S WRITTEN! I also had an active membership, just like you, but according to ground control, I'm shit outta luck.
I'm paraphrasing :) They were very polite about telling me, I'm not gettin a 7" that I paid for, and have been waiting months for.

Like I said before, according to ground control, despite how it's phrased in the email about the 7", and the fact that I had an active roll call membership. I would've had to essentially renewed, paid $30 more, and for all intents and purposes, have 2 roll call memberships for myself.

I'm gonna pull out a parental tone for ground control and say, "I'm not mad at you ground control, just disappointed. You're smarter than that ground control. I'll always love you ground control, but unless you don't get your grades up and do well on the S.A.T.'s, you're going to summer school, and you can forget about using the car, and the class ski trip is off!"

I'm using sarcasm as a coping mechanism, cuz if I ain't laughing I'm crying. I REALLY wanted that 7".

No, I didn't get one. I would have loved one though. It says that if you join after August whatever that you'll get sent next years end of the year gift, but I'd be getting one anyway if I sign up again. Seems like they should have ordered more.

Like I said I've contacted ground control. Even called them a couple times and got a call back cuz they couldn't give me a straight answer the first two calls. Kinda feel like I got a kick in the junk, from an organization that I'm supporting. Don't you?


Is there anyone in Forum land with an extra copy that can hook a brother up? I'd be happy to pay for it, since Ground Control seems to be no help? You can PM me. Muchas Gacias!
