First I heard was on twitter... There doesn't seem to be any official word other than what you posted. This is awesome, but I'm so sad that I have other plans in NYC that day.

announcement is up on the MMJ site. a free show of this size in times square will likely be a nightmare.

Also wondering where they'll setup the stage(s).

Hopefully they'll put a few bands on at the same time to limit the crowds.

I have a feeling it's going to be a disaster though.

See thats the problem, good for if you live close by, but for anyone thinking of traveling, this is probably going to be a huge CF. At least it is free though.

how do we know it ends at 7pm? that would be perfect for me since i'll be in times square for colin hay that night...that show starts at 8. i'd love to be able to see both shows that day.
