There is not 1 jam band on this list.

yea, this makes me think they weren't too impressed with last years turn out

...disappointing because the SCI fans were GREAT people to be around = very nice vibe

It's going to be Outkast Saturday, Jack White Friday and Beck Sunday.  It's how the lineup is structured every year.

I disagree, I think Outkast will be on Friday and Jack White on Saturday.  I could be wrong, but Jack White rocks too hard to be the Friday headlining spot.  Probably a matter of opinion, but I always feel like the Saturday headliner is the most rocking of the choices (i.e. MMJ, Black Keys, Flaming Lips, etc.).

This is what I think. Party on Friday night, rock our faces off Saturday.

Also, I don't think anyone will conflict with the top 3 headliners

Also, yes, Bronson loves food.
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

I guarantee no one will be able to get a VIP pass for $60.

Apparently pre-sale codes are getting mailed out to 2013 VIP ticketholders sometime in the next 24 hours.

This lineup really is growing on me,  There is about 10-12 acts my girlfriend and I would enjoy.  If we decide to do the full weekend, what is the latest you guys would recommend booking a hotel?  Also, which hotels are clean?

if you want to be able to walk then you should be sure you only look at hotels downtown. Most of those are really nice but also expensive. My cousins stayed at a Courtyard Marriot recently that wasn't too expensive.

Look at the map before you book one. Unless driving and parking is not a big deal to you...

The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

I stayed at the Courtyard Marriot in 2012 and had a great stay.  It seems to have filled up first this year, so I'll be staying at The Galt House - surprisingly affordable, and really gorgeous, from what I've heard.

Staying in Southern In may be cheaper and you're still a 5-10 minute drive away from the venue. Holiday Inn in Clarksville, In is nice.

Does Forecastle allow 3-Day Pass holders to upgrade to VIP, or is the only way to get one to buy upfront?

I don't know for sure, but my experience with other festivals is that if you're willing to give them more money, they'll find a way to work it out for you.

Also, I give high praise to the Galt House! The 5-minute walk along the waterfront every day is so awesomely beautiful. And you're surrounded by festival-goers so the vibe is awesome. And the place is huge! I sprung for a balcony room this year, so pumped!

I know the headliners will get their slots, but where does everybody think Gary Clark Jr., Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, and Jason Isbel will land in the day's/evening's line-up? I've never seen any of them and want a long(ish) set. Plus, what about the Replacements? I guess they aren't headliners, but would they for sure be the act just prior to a headliner...like Jim James, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Robert Plant were last year?

I think the replacements will fall into the Flaming Lips spot.  I think the other bands you named will get 1.5 hours (maybe 1 hour depending).  They will play the Mast Stage before the headliners.  Gary Clark is amazingggggggg!

BTW if you haven't heard of this band, I highly recommend you make the effort to see them:

JJ Grey & Mofro "Brighter Days"

Screw what I was saying earlier...I'm all in!!!!!!

I've done my research today and my girl and I are totally wanting to see:

Jack White
Ray
Local Natives
Spanish Gold
Spoon
Jenny Lewis
Beck
Twenty One Pilots
Band of Horses
The Weeks
Soul Rebels
Lucius
Mofro

...with a few other acts that could go either way, the potential of additional bands added, and late night shows...this really is one hell of a lineup.
