David Letterman - Future Islands: "Seasons (Waiting On You)"

I still cant decide if this is the best or worst late night performance I've ever seen. I caught it randomly the other night, not knowing who Future Islands were. At first I thought it was the most ridiculous thing Ive ever seen, but I couldn't look away. By the end, I was fully into it haha.  What is this death metal growl he gets going randomly?! I'm interested and will definitely check out the album
