Was the three person room last year extra big or was it just a regular sized room that was a little crowded due to three of you?  Because I had an idea depending on that answer...... you can book a room for two of you and find a roommate here on the Forum for the third person.  That third person would then have to pay the regular $1,399 or $1,299 towards the second room and then has the option of not even using it and crashing with the other two.

That would cut the cost down quite a bit compared to what sounds like Cloud9 is proposing (two rooms for four people and wasting the money on half of the second room).

hi and thanks, sorry late its time delay in uk and work. i have thought of this but may be worth waiting a while-dont think it will sell out completely-and see if cloud9 change minds on this option,i hope people call/email to complain,i did try to book 4 people option but this is not allowed either, may have to join the cloud9 buddy thing as you say but we wanted to do extra nights as well because of flights from uk..rgds roger

3 person rooms were regular rooms with a cot.  i dont know why they wouldnt do it again this year.  more money in less rooms, seems link a no-brainer.
out go the lights it begins

just called cloud9-im in uk-its nothing sinister its just that they dont think that 3 to a room is comfortable by usa standards. helpful people and i thank them

I agree that Cloud9 reps are always nice, provide great  service, and are trying to do their best for everyone.  But that is interesting rationale for the policy change (for an event that isn't in the USA no less).  I've used many a cot on vacations and have never lived outside of the US.

Maybe they will change their minds down the road.
