I would assume yes!

It was a lossless sat recording.  The poster said that it sounds fantastic!

I will be out of pocket for the next week.  SO SOMEONE ELSE WILL HAVE TO KEEP YOU GUYS UP TO SPEED ON THE QUALITY

I wont be able to hear it until I return next week! :-/

I will however be rocking out the Aud copy!!!!! :D :)

I will download this as soon as I get home and let everyone know how it sounds, as long as no one beats me to it.

Brad I checked out your art, love the Steadman influences, he is one of my favorite artists and has inspired some of my own art.

Oops. I'm on dialup, so I have no concept of bit torrents.

Thanks a million! Steadman was a huge influence. I've actually got one of his serigraphs - signed by Ralph and HST both. It was pricey, but it's probably worth a crapload more than what I paid for it, now.

I should have some really sweet additions to the portfolio in two months, by the way.

I mentioned this in the other thread, but here it is again.

The demonoid torrent is indeed from the XM broadcast, but is not exactly a lossy recording. Since it was recorded from the receiver that makes it lossy so converting it to a FLAC is technically a transcode. A high bitrate mp3 would probably do just as well with this recording.
I think I'll grab mp3s if anyone converts them and save myself from downloading over 1 GB of FLACS that are from a lossy source.

Also, I would gladly take the "lossy" receiver recording over a stream from the internet any day of the week. So I don't want to sound like I'm bitching in the previous paragraph, 'cause I'm not. :)

It's also showed up on etree for those that don't have an account on the demon.

I'm dying to get an mp3 version before the night is over if at all possible. I'm gonna be in a van a whole lot this week, so it'd be nice to have this show to take up a bunch of the time. I could put it all on a data CD and spin in that way in the CD player.

So, you're asking someone to take a lossy source and make it even lossier by converting to mp3?  You'd be better off getting the FLACs man.

Unless you're just asking for a receiver -> mp3 source.

It is well known that Satellite radio is lossy.  You're not going to get a better source than these FLACs barring a terrestrial radio station broadcasting them.

I'm at about 70% Dl'ing this.

I think it's the same as the one on zomb... i will download both as I must secure all copies of shows to the mmj vault in my basement. (i know it sounds weird but it is actually true.)

I guess my point is that if it's already lossy, having them in FLAC doesn't really make sense 'cause that's just a transcode. It'd be like dumping a VHS tape to DVD and calling it better quality. It's not.

Also, it seems like a waste of a download to grab over 1GB of something that will probably sound just as good in mp3 format... if it's a high bitrate mp3.

I'm not usually one to condone the spreading of mp3s, but it seems to make sense to me in this situation.

Is the etree source the same as the demonoid?

Here's the demonoid lineage
