I just snagged one from my Facebook feed and changed it with MS Paint. Didn't know there was a "meme group".

Now that would be an election sticker I'd put on my car...

Ok,  IF  I where a republican and I had a choice between Trump, Cruz or pounding my balls flat with a hammer I would choose flat balls.

i respect everyones opinions on politics on here, i really do i promise!!

BUT i wish everyone would keep it to themselves, kinda divides what should be one big happy MMJ family. just one man's thoughts!

jcc0065

I never said that. You got into it last time with me....you love to voice your opinion but then shit on me when I have one.

You absolutely twisted my words.

LBSUNFLWR

It seems silly to limit what can and can't be discussed here, doesn't it?
Anyone who doesn't want to read this thread should just not read it.
Threads come up all the time about bands I am not into or baseball or something that I have no interest in so I just don't read them. Seems unfair to purposely not discuss something just because people's opinions will be different...

Right you are. We got into it when you said (in two separate threads) that Jim was an LSD casualty or (burn-out). I (and several others on here) called you out on even suggesting such a thing on a fan site run by the band themselves. Shame on you!

As far as twisting your words on this thread and its purpose goes, I believe you are wrong. What I believe you said (or at least implied) was that you know everyone has opinions on political issues, but that you would prefer that we all keep them to ourselves. The actual quote went like this, "i respect everyones opinions on politics on here, i really do i promise!! BUT i wish everyone would keep it to themselves, kinda divides what should be one big happy MMJ family. just one man's thoughts!" As you can see from your quote above, you did say you "wish(ed) everyone would keep it (I'm going to assume you are using the pronoun "it" to signify "opinions on politics") to themselves". I am not twisting your words at all. All I'm doing is "making light of" or "making fun of" the notion that there even being a thread that is specifically named, "Election 2016" is inappropriate or at least divisive and shouldn't be a part of this here Forum. Well...johnnYYac (who happens to be a very active moderator on this here Forum) started this thread in the "Off-Topic Ramblings". He has opened the door for political discussions here, hence, the sharing of political thought, opinions, strategies, wishes, fears, dreams, frustrations, etc. If you didn't mean to imply that it gets on your nerves for people to voice their political opinions here and that doing so "kinda divides what should be one big happy MMJ family" - your quote again, not mine, then maybe John should take it down, delete it, do away with the entire thread. After all, that is/was the purpose of the thread in the first place.

When you started shooting off your mouth about Jim being an LSD burn-out, several people put you in your place. I'm doing the same thing, but I'm doing it with "off-putting sarcasm". I didn't twist a single word or thought of yours around. I'm just calling you a cry-baby who should really get over it if a thread or topic that gets started around here is "off-putting" to you and your sensibilities. Just don't read the posts in the threads that offend you or "put you off". Others here might be interested.

With all that being said, the only things I posted in this thread were two videos. One was of the daughter of Eric Garner announcing her support for Senator Sanders (and some of her reasons). The other was a compilation of speeches Mr. Sanders has made over the years about the same topics he is speaking about today. This is an election year, and speeches will be made, opinions will be shared, and disagreements will ensue. If it gets too hot in the "kitchen"/Forum section known as "Off-Topic Ramblings", then I suggest you not try to get the participants to stop posting. I suggest you not read them.

Pretty simple.

I actually am a supporter of Bernie. I was really speaking for a couple of my friends, who hate this forum because it is a lot of times more argumentative than loving, and you are just proving them even more correct. Thats why Facebook has become the move.

I happen to love this forum, but not when people are out to get one another, like right now. As far as the Jim thing goes, i never said he was an "Acid Casualty" hahaha. I just think he was tripping balls during Red Rocks (which, maybe wasnt a popular topic on this forum, but my mmj friends definitely thought he was too, BUT it isnt even a bad thing in my OPINION. Without Psychedelics, a lot of the music we love would not exist.) and looked a little out of it this year, but now I realize his back was just out of wack and was most probably wearing a back brace. Its absolutely crazy he was able to do what he did, they SOUNDED better than ever this year.

I love this band to death but cant we all just fucking get along? Sorry my post somehow implied to "shut it down"....Im out

EDIT: btw, i never even quoted your post originally nor did i even look at your posts. You could've just simply overlooked my remarks and kept going. I love all of you, i'm not trying to start anything!

Just so those on here, who didn't read the back-and-forth between jcc0065 and me, don't get me wrong and think I'm making up things that he did in fact say, here is one of my responses on the original "argument". "Let me get this straight. You think I'm being "waaaaay" too hostile, need to "chill out", and need to go easy in my replies to your post(s) because I am calling you out on your attacks on Jim where you are implying that he is an "Acid Head" or "A Burn-Out" or exactly as you stated it, "Yeah it just honestly seems like to me he's taken waaaaay too much acid. Not just cause he's getting old. He was tripping way too hard during that red rocks performance, it was obvious, and at times uncomfortable". You're saying this because you feel this to be true and because your friends agree...I'm I right about that, this is correct, and you're sticking with your story, am I right? Just 4 days ago in another thread that had almost 40 minutes of actual audio of Jim being interviewed by Hiss Golden Messenger's lead singer about the song writing process, you stated the following, "Sounds like ole Jimmy has been indulged (ing) in a little bit too much DOSE this tour". Where do you get off jumping to THAT conclusion!? In the 39 minute interview, drugs were NEVER mentioned. The only thing I can find that you may have latched onto is the quote of Jim saying something to the effect of him feeling that at times he receives messages or inspiration (bits of songs or melodies) from "The Universe" or "God" or "Whatever you want to call it", and he tries to remember to record them into his phone, so he won't forget them. What was that assumption all about, if it wasn't you saying Jim is a "Burn-Out/Acid-Head"? Them there's fightin' words, in my book!

Lastly, what was that "dig/jab" at me personally all about when you said, "For an old man you sure have "waaaay" too much hostility. chill out. just a topic on a forum"?

I feel that was a bit...odd on your part. Maybe if you had seen a photo of me or knew what I looked like, you might have added, "For an old fat man...". For someone who has only been a member of this here almighty Forum for a mere 27 days, you seem to be the one who is a bit too "hostile" and might need to "chill out"...or at least show some respect to your elders...Jim included."

And i manned up and apologized to you, correct? That wasnt cool of me.

Once again, im out

Just like the old days...

If you'd go back to my original post, I made a funny meme about My Morning Jacket and I happen to be a Bernie supporter.  After that, it evolves as free speech allows.

With Gov. Christie's endorsement of Donald Trump, moments ago, I believe it is time for all Americans to think real hard about the kind of country we want to be, for ourselves, for the world, and for our future. Then, VOTE!

I realize now that I am a two-issue voter, and have two fine candidates to choose from, though I prefer Bernie.

Globally, we must lead the world in reducing our impact on climate change and move from finite, dirty fossil fuels to clean, renewable energy. Nothing else is as important. It will improve our future, our health, our standing in the world, and our economy. Its a win-win issue.

Nationally, we need to invest in fixing our country's infrastructure and, in the process, provide much-needed jobs. Addressing the repair and/or replacement of crumbling highways, bridges, airports, rail systems, tunnels, water systems, and our electric grid will make us safer, stronger, more secure, and also improve our economy.

Every one of the remaining Republican candidates denies the climate issue, despite the vast majority of scientists and other countries believing this to be real and serious. And none of the last men standing on the right seem to think infrastructure issues are worthy of discussion.

Again, it is time for all Americans to think real hard about the kind of country we want to be, for ourselves and for the world.

Then, VOTE!
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

I agree with johnnYYac's two issues mentioned, and I'd like to add a third - the national debt.  $19 trillion ($19,000,000,000,000) of debt, when the country brings in about $3 trillion in taxes per year.  If paying down the debt was the only thing we were doing with our tax intake, it would still take over 6+ years to pay down the debt, and that's not counting the interest we owe.  The so-called 'greatest generation' has sold us all down the river by not being able to face reality and live within their means.
Cuz it's been so long since someone shattered me.
