Summer Tour 2017: By the Numbers

Of the 2 I went to: On paper Cincinnati was the show to go to. I enjoyed Nashville a little bit more though. Mostly bc I love the Ascend Amphitheater.

I thought both shows were excellent despite the repeats and I would gladly do them both all over again!

For me Cincinnati really was the best show to see. I had been nervous going in that this tour would feature a lot of repeats, rely heavily on The Waterfall, and not many covers. But Cincinnati really was the opposite of those expectations.

Variety be damned! The guys changed the tried-and-true arrangements of setlist staples more this tour than any year in their history. Touch Me Pt 2 continues to soar to new heights. The new jammed-out rave-up "I'm Amazed" has made a pee-break contender one of my favorite songs in the set. Hell, even OBH got a jammed out ending this tour!! Damn straight that'll keep me comin' back!!

Are there any soundboard recordings going around from this tour?  I'd love to hear a jammed out I'm Amazed.  Its been a consistent fave of mine, a tight concise roots rocker with deceptively deep lyrics, it just reminds me of a song The Band might do.  Curious to hear what it sounds like extended, intriguing!

The extended jam is relatively short, but you can hear that it has room to grow. They did this with several songs this tour, Touch Me Part 2 might be my favorite example.

The Peach Amazed is real tasty. Not a soundboard but the aud recording sounds pretty decent to these ears.
