Hey, I remember that!

How Could I Know was the first song at the first MMJ show I ever saw: Gypsy Tea Room, Dallas, 9/17/2004. Seeing it again a few nights ago BLEW ME AWAY.
"...it's gonna be great -- I mean me coming back with the band and playing all those hits again"

Me too!

Looks like you're already making steps toward getting the forum back together!

Great connecting briefly in Mexico! See ya at da Fillmore!

Just have to say that this OBH was one of the all time greatest weekends of my life. My second OBH (first being 2018 in DR) and while that was great being a first time at OBH this one blew it out of the water. These 3 shows were the greatest i've ever seen them play from the 22 shows i've seen.
The resort really does seem to be the best place for them. While i was a little underwhelmed by the other supporting acts (besides Futurebirds  <3 ), I thought War On Drugs were fantastic, as well as Scott McMicken.
But each of those 3 jacket shows were so so special in their own way, got super deep cuts each night, some all time covers, and some of the best versions of their own songs. Can't wait for the next one

Right there with you... Man, just very different setlists (Jim said at the Q&A that Bo has been building the setlists) and that joy we always hope they're feeling was present in buckets. When Jim is talking about raccoon-bears, all is well! I loved the well-placed covers and deeps cuts galore. Definitely songs that I wanted to hear and didn't, but I wouldn't want them in place of some of the gems (Come Closer) in these sets. Just a fucking magical band and great human beings and I can't wait for the god damn Fillmore!!!

5/24/2003, and every damn time possible since!

Too funny, I always search her out after shows to read em. Stole that idea from Penny way back and it's always a blast reading those!  My forum sig is one of hers from Chicago 15 during Dondante.

Looking forward to a great forum get together for the Fillmore shows.

Anyone know what pedal Jim was using to produce the digital scrambling effect we heard throughout the shows?

the Jim Q & A session was amazing. Jim talking about taking LSD for the first time in 20 years during the last eclipse a few years back.... "highly recommend"

unfortunately my question was not chosen....
"Jim, did something traumatic happen to you at a pier one night as a child?"  but randomly, they did play The Bear that same night I believe.
