hellaciousc

so w/ EC's "tonite" that makes 9 right?

come on!  someone else send one.
10 is a respectable #.

lfish

Can't we ask jim to play a song for his own tribute album?

That would be nice? Amongst the fans, the master himself...

I liked a couple of those pics. I need to see if I can find a scanner to use.

There have been a few people mention that they can help with artwork. If anyone wants to put together a cover, that would be cool. We can work on the inside once all the other details are nailed down...

Yeah, we're getting close.

I received "Masterplan" by BenGrim today...it's very, very cool.

lyricjunkie

I'm getting excited about this project.  Can I put in a pre-order? :)
Talk less....
Say more.

sweatboard

can someone post what songs have been recieved and what songs are on the way?  I'm considering doing bermuda highway or pictures of you if they haven't been taken.

thanks,

Brian
There's Still Time.........

EC did "Bermuda Highway" and sent it to me already. I'll post a full list this evening when I get home.
("Pictures of You" hasn't been taken.)

corey

Lowdown by HUtch and the Hookers
Bermuda Highway by EC
Phone Went West by Buddy
O is the one that is Real by O
Evelyn is not real by Lfish
Masterplan by BenGrim
Tonight I want to celebrate with you by EC
Just because I do by Olwiggum

We'll have 9 if Buddy gets their 2nd track done... and 10 if Sweatboard does one.

lfish

Hey wiggum, is there any chance you put the received songs on John's ftp server?  I'm pretty curious for the other songs.  Or will you keep the tension into this project and wait until the full cd is composed?

I'd rather wait until it is all finished. It'd be kind of like showing you the ending of a film before we shot the first scene.  :)

hello. long time member here, but my old email address got deleted and i forgot my login information so i had to re-register

is it too late to contribute to this tribute? i would really like to do "I NEEDED IT MOST" for your album. My Morning Jacket is a great band and it is awesome you guys got the idea put together so quickly...i hope it's not too late...

EDIT: also, if you have room for me, can you let me know how long i have to contribute this? i dont expect to be given any kind of an exception for deadlines because i only found out about this now but yeah, if you could let me know and ill do my best to get started on it asap

lfish

How long will it take to do your version and send it to Ol'wiggum?  If it takes another two months, I guess your chances are rather small.  If it takes two weeks, well I guess we can wait another two weeks.

It would be indeed.  Got your point.   :)

Two weeks is fine. Keep me informed of your progress. I look forward to hearing it.

In the meantime, wiggy, is there anything else the rest of us can do to help you out?  Like, for example, is there going to be a physical "album", or will you be putting it out as a file transfer thing?  Do you need bios or anything like that?  If you are doing an "album" (ie an actual physical cd), would you like people to volunteer their burners and be responsible for sending out cd requests to their area?  (If there is such a need...)

Anyhow, just let us know what we can do...

corey

Well...
I plan on putting it on John's server when it's done. I also would like to have people that can help send out CDs to the people that are bandwidth-challenged. SO, for those of you with broadband AND a burner, I may ask you all to send them out. I don't expect them to be sent around for free, so we'll probably take the B&P route.

If you have bios that you would like to send to Ger for the "From Nashville to Kentucky" site, please do so.

I have a couple of artwork submissions, so I'll probably choose one of those when it's all done. (I kind of have a favorite of the ones that have been sent to me).
I'll upload the artwork to John's server as well for the people that want to print it out. We'll probably ask Ger to host it on his site as well.

EC

If broadband means highspeed, then I volunteer to be the Canadian connection.  (I can do the Northeast States, too.)
