Mic Stand? We don't need no stinking mic stands...
:)

Just prop that shit up on top of a chair.

hellaciousc

that's what i'm sayin!!

heck, i'll go over there and hold the mic while he records the guitar track, and then just hold it when i sing it.

"lowdown" is what we're singin by the way.
(or at least attempting to sing!)

'wiggum, you just made everyone in this internet cafe think i'm weird.  prop that shit up on a chair.  you are terrific.

i am currently not recording anything, because i currently can not.  i did, however, try to pay props to mmj at an open mic in edinburgh, but i failed.  i failed so miserably, that it was funny.  i had my lowdown notes in my book for some reason, and because hellacious made me hand it over (heh, just kidding), i had to play it at least once.  but dudes, you can't even imagine a worse performance.  i sounded like a sheep because i was so nervous.  and people in edinburgh are loud, and i'm quiet.

sooooo, you know, hopefully i'll get something done when i get back.  if i don't make it to the big album, maybe we can release a single for the latecomers with possible remixes from the main album?  ;)

hellaciousc

got this email from my guitar player today:

I never did get my mic stand, so I duct-taped my
microphone to a yard stick and jammed the yard stick under some equipment on
my desk. Damn if it wasn't the PERFECT height for recording my guitar. So I
cracked open a high life, hit record, and did my best.

ha!
so we are rolling now.
sorry i stoled it from you EC

MMJ_fanatic

ducts tape is the answer to everything ;).  when you're feelin' blue just grab a roll of duct tape and yank off a hunk--that peeling sound will always raise a smile :D

How is everyone else doing?

Is it to late to send in music for the tribute?

corey

It's not too late. There's a still a few weeks left... and I may extend the deadline if people aren't done in time...
(I still haven't recorded mine).

What song do you want to do?

ben grimm

Just bear with me, I'm working on it slowly but surely...........

hellaciousc

Last night we put the finishing touches on "Lowdown".
I like the finished result A LOT better than the previous version we had.

The final version is up at our website.

Wiggum-  I'll put a copy in the mail to you on Monday.

I haven't heard from anyone in a while about this. Do we need to shoot for the end of September? Is that do-able?

O, I still haven't received your CD. It may be lost in the mail.  :(
