I own Z, Okonokos, and have Choclate and Ice on the way but am always hunting for the first three records.  I see copies of At Dawn on ebay going reguarly above 100 bones, and good luck with Tennessee Fire.  It Still Moves it reasonable, but there must be a better way.

Does it not seem to other people that Badman Recordings are missing out on a ton of easy money by not pressing at least 500 to 1000 more copies of these now out of print awesomenesses?

I propose a petition to send to the company requesting more copies.

Who's coming with me?

i'll sign.  i'm still missing at dawn and at this point I don't really care if it's an original pressing.

dragonboy

I don't have a record player but wish I did.
I'll sign to show my support, vinyl junkies are da coolest!  8-)
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

TheBri-Man

YES!!! I have It Still Moves, Z and Acoustic Citsuoca.  Chocolate and Ice and Okonokos are coming at me for Christmas...I know of this!  But Tennessee Fire and At Dawn are missing and without them my life isn't complete.  I'll do whatever I can to get another pressing.

Me too.

I have Okonokos, It Still Moves, Acoustic citsuocA, Z, and Chocolate and Ice.....want me some At Dawn, although I REALLY want The Tennessee Fire.

ellisintransit

Yeah!  Me too.  Really.  I have everything that can be purchased at a retailer.  That means I am NOT going to pay $100 for an OG At Dawn or Tennessee Fire.  Whoever is in charge of this stuff really should be jumping on the ball.  These two albums are must-haves in my collection.  Beautiful albums that would sound even better on my turntable.

PLEASE!!!

The only one Badman could repress would be ISM. I mentioned it to him in an email when the gold Acoustic C came out and said ISM should get repressed in gold and he said it was a great idea but a double color LP in a gatefold gets expensive and he'd have to press at least 1000 due to 500 of each record (limits I guess).
I wish we could do a test pre-order for Badman and see how many we could order to get him some cash in advance... maybe Liz could do some inquiring.
Like I've said before, I think Darla is just happy to keep the demand for them going and not press them for years to come... although I'd love some extra copies.

That sounds like a f-ing fabulous idea!!!!!

As far as ISM on vinyl...I do not have this either, and so want to have the "full china service of vinyl" like vespachick (I love that... ;D ;D).

I will do my best...I'll throw an email Dylan's way.  But it may be more powerful if I can say that there 20, or 50, or 100 forum fans who would buy a copy. You know???  So lets keep this thread alive to keep track!

We all know we want access to reprints of Darla records (quick question Kory, do you think that Darla is just sitting there waiting?  Cuz' it makes me sad to think that if they reprinted it, that they would sell copies for more than $20.  just curious....).
But for those interested in ISM on vinyl...let me know  ;)

Kory

I have ISM but it's the European pressing not Badman, you can write me down for 2 copies, I sure Dylan knows I'm good for it.
I don't think Darla's holding out for big money and from what i hear, they get plenty of requests. Maybe we need to just start emailing them everyday. I have asked them numerous questions about things all the way down to "little darla" cds and I have never received a response. That doesn't make me feel warm. I feel like they're a small company and can probably shoot an email back now and then. I wish mmj would license Badman to press them.

I would LOVE to have those first two albums on vinyl.

I could see Darla sitting on these for a while though.  Maybe a 10th anniversary re-release for each?

I am missing AD and TF too and would love to have both.  These are definitely great vinyl albums. Actually, any MMJ album would be a great vinyl album.

I will mention that in my email to dylan!
You never know  ;)
