DaFunkyPrecedent

Everytime i eat an avacado I DO think of pearl jam.  So atleast it was effective.
God damn those shaky knees.

DaFunkyPrecedent

QuoteDoes anybody recognize that theatre?

Is that the Ferris Wheel from the St. Louis World's Fair?

Ride was two revolutions, ~20 minutes each (some references say 4 revolutions, about 1 hour)
Marriages, banquets, some daredevils rode on top
4,200 tons of steel were transported by 175 freight cars
Stood 264' high, wheel was 250' diameter, 825' circumference, 30 feet wide
Axle was 45 feet long, 32" in diameter, weighed 70 tons - largest single piece of forged iron in 1904
Towers were 140' tall, 40' by 50' at their bases.
Each of the 36 passenger cars was 26' by 13' by 9' high, held 60 people (with a guard)
Total capacity of 2,160
Dynamited on May 11, 1906, and sold for scrap for $1,800
Fate of 70-ton axle remains a mystery (no record of its movement or destruction

I think the theatre is The Palace in Louisville

I think you're right but I'm not sure.  Maybe I'll pop in my copy of Alison Kraus and Union Station live at the Palace tonight.

KingsofSquidma

It kind of does look like the Palace Theater. It's hard to tell with everything so obscured by those mad photoshop trix.

I thought it was The Palace, The Feris Wheel (Bonnaroo), and the old mansion/chandeler (sp) from Okonokos.........and Winston Churchill.

I like it. I think it's one of those covers that will always surprise you with something new each time you look at it.

Did they tell "queer eye for the straight guy" they were going to go camping?

Patrick doesn't look real excited.

But Bo sure is owning it.

I am interested in the fact that the background suggests Spring yet they are dressed for a blizzard......Really, it's Interesting.

Pretty bummed about the cover.  I hope that the record is way better, but it wouldn't take much to top this.
