I like the part about Dischord. God, I'm more and more becoming a fan of independent music, artists just doing things by themselves. Like Diane Cluck, who sells her CDs herself in handmade carton sleeves, with handwritten song titles on them.. And yeah, I know it's a little harder to reach a big audience that way, but at least you don't get involved in this kind of shit. Plus, most of those artists make much better music than anything that's on big record labels - save MMJ, ofcourse, just listening to 'How can I know?' and 'Chills', and damn, they're good; but nevermind that.

Wow, I am becoming more and more in favor of DIY-artists, recently I've been regurarly checking Pitchfork Media: yep, I'm becoming an indie-asshole in the making. :)
